On Earth-2, the JSA face off against the alien A-Rym, while on Earth-1, the JLA must take on A-Rym's symbiotic pet!
The Batman carries the grievously injured Flash on board the Justice League of America's satellite headquarters. Aliens, joyriding through inter-dimensional space, accidentally jettison a young boy, A-Rym, and his pet, Teppy. A-Rym shares a symbiotic link to Teppy. Separated, each can only survive for 36 hours without the other. A-Rym is drawn to Earth-2, while Teppy materializes on Earth-1. The pain of separation drives A-Rym and Teppy berserk. The Justice Society of America respond to the Golden Age Green Lantern's distress signal.
They find him terribly injured, being tended to by the Golden Age Robin. In an encounter with A-Rym, the Golden Age Green Lantern's power ring was stolen. Forgetting that the Golden Age Robin is actually a member of the Justice Society of America, the Golden Age Hawkman, reluctantly, agrees to allow the younger hero to "tag along", on their search for A-Rym. The Justice League of America tends to the injured Flash. Aquaman sends a distress signal, summoning the Batman, and the Green Arrow, to his aid. While Black Canary remains behind to care for the Flash, the rest of the team search for the Flash's attacker, Teppy.
The Justice League of America encounter the Silver Age Robin, who is also on the hunt for Teppy. The Silver Age Hawkman, reluctantly, agrees to allow the younger hero to "tag along" on their search. The Silver Age Green Lantern's power ring picks up an energy signature, emanating from Earth-2. Contacting the Justice Society of America, the Justice League of America decide to join forces, to continue their investigation. The Golden Age Atom, the Golden Age Flash, and the Golden Age Superman journey to Earth-1, to assist the Justice League of America.
The Silver Age Green Lantern, the Silver Age Hawkman, and the Silver Age Robin journey to Earth-2, to assist the Justice Society of America. After angrily cutting a swath of destruction through the countryside, A-Rym collapses in pain. The Justice Society of America, and the Justice League of America, confront A-Rym. The Silver Age Green Lantern's power ring cannot translate A-Rym's language. Taking A-Rym's pleas for threats, the Silver Age Robin attacks A-Rym. It's all the Golden Age Robin can do to keep A-Rym from murdering his Silver Ager counterpart.
The Silver Age Green Lantern transports the Golden and Silver Age Robins away from the conflict. A-Rym tries to steal the Golden Age Green Lantern's power ring, but the Emerald Gladiator wills the power ring into invisibility. In short order, A-Rym subdues the Silver Age Green Lantern, and the Golden and Silver Age Hawkmen. A-Rym, in pain and terror, flees the scene. The Justice League of America, and the Justice Society of America, confront Teppy. With one sweep of his massive paw, Teppy staggers the Golden and Silver Age Supermen. The Golden Age Atom attacks Teppy, keeping the creature at bay.
While the Silver Age Atom distracts Teppy, the Golden Age Flash digs a massive trench around the alien creature, trapping it. Believing that there may be a connection between the two aliens, the Golden Age Flash, and the Silver Age Superman, journey to Earth-2. A-Rym encounters, and is befriended by, Solomon Grundy. The Justice Society of America, and the Justice League of America, confront Solomon Grundy, and A-Rym. Enraged at the sight of his most hated foe, a Green Lantern, Solomon Grundy goes berserk, mercilessly beating the members of both teams into unconsciousness. With the two teams sprawled at his feet, Solomon Grundy prepares to slay the Silver Age Green Lantern.
