    Charizard is known to mega evolve as well. Charizard can mega evolve into two different forms, Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y. Both mega evolutions have a different appearance. Charizard is one of very few Pokémon that can mega evolve into two different forms.

    His skin color is red but his inner wings color is a dark blue. He accompanies Ash, Pikachu, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle in Ash's journey to victory of becoming the best trainer. They all meet up with Ash's friends (Misty and Brock). In some cases Charizard is very cooperative but sometimes he just sleeps and ignores Ash's commands. Charizard is a fire type and is one of Ash's strongest Pokémon.

    Charizard's Moves:

    • Steel Wing

    He eventually learns Fire Blast.

    Charizard also learns Over Heat which is used to fight an Articuno while Ash is trying to win the battle frontier.

    The Charmander that later evolves into Charizard first appears in the episode called Charmander – The Stray Pokémon. Ash catches this Charmander at route 24. Charmander evolves into Charmeleon in the episode called March of the Exeggutor Squad. Charmeleon later evolves into Charizard in the episode called Attack of the Prehistoric Pokémon. The gender of Ash's Charizard has never been revealed.

    Before Ash ever caught the Charmander that would evolve into Charizard, Charmander belonged to a different trainer, called Damian. Damian grew tired of his Charmander being weak and decieded to abandon it.
