A darker side to Mera... 0

Johns finishes off his first arc with Aquaman by taking a complete focus on Mera instead of the title character himself.The Good:Aquaman has been a series so far that has impressed to a degree where I've taken a completely new interest into the character. I credit Geoff Johns of course for his excellent writing and for revolutionizing Aquaman for a new era and a different audience. Water at mine 0

This issue is in no way a bad issue, but suffers in comparison to the rest of the stories thus far in this stand out series.  After the previous issue focusing almost solely on Arthur, here Mera gets the treatment as a trip into town to buy some dog food turns into sexual harassment, which turns into an arrest and with Mera using some extreme measures to stop someone out for revenge.  The entire issue is based around the concept of Mera being an outsider in every place she exists, but it is a st...

Badly Handled Cliche 0

Hopefully I get this in before too many fanboys jump for joy at the issue showcasing "You don't mess with Aquawoman!"Read my points before you condemn it for disagreeing with the praise everyone else seems to be giving this series constantly.
