Maxwell Lord is character with such little lore and impact it seems, that so far his two biggest appearances are nothing like what he is in the comics. In Supergirl, he's just a dicky smart billionaire who is a discount Lex Luthor. Doesn't even have his powers and ends up being "turned good" by the end. Here, he's just a con man who lucked out onto a magic stone. I probably like the movie version a bit more, just because Pedro Pascal chews the scenery.

As for Cheetah, I thought Kristen Wiig knocked it out of the park. I was afraid they were going to make her Electro from TASM 2, but she really did a great job with what she was given. Easily one of the best villains in the DCEU (Zod is still king though). I love how she becomes Cheetah, wanting to be her own person, rather than just a Diana clone.

The movie IMO was very middle of the road at best for me. I'm surprised by some of the aspects I ended up liking, but IMO Diana gets lost in her own movie. Part of that is the fact that she is out acted by pretty much every other major character since Gal IMO still can't act. I may write a reboot for it, but one change I would have liked to have seen that would trim some fat and make somethings matter, is have Lynda be integral to the plot. Reason I say this is because I found the cameo kind of insulting as well as random. They barely talk about this amazon, give her one story, the armor itself was lame and useless and then the cameo felt like "oh, by the way, that amazon was actually alive", as if the audience was supposed to care or remember.
I think if would have been cooler to have Diana track down info about the stone, and have Lynda's character be the one who knows about it. And then a moment of realization by DIana that she is that amazon hero. Has a geek out moment, Lynda gives a pep talk of sorts or whatever, then gives her the armor.

At the moment, I didn't think anything of it, in terms of how the wish was fulfilled, but yeah, it's weird that the stone's power was shown to be easily powerful enough to make him his own body. It didn't even play into why he had to go, like if Steve didn't leave, this rando would disappear or something.

The new suit looks like it has a ton of New 52 influence. I like the belt. It's an improvement in both style and quality over the first version.

Its over... its finally over. This long 4 year shit show is coming to an end. Now all we need is a montage scene that's showing all the Trump family getting their comeuppance in courts for both financial activities and their wrong doings while in power.

CW Superman is the most incompetent jobber ever. Every appearance excluding his first two Supergirl episodes (and even then o had issues with those) made him into such a dweeb.

Melisa also gave birth to a child recently so that'll have been a factor.

If that were the case, I assume she would said so, but I did think before reading any articles that that would have been the case. She may be demoted to someone on the CW guest star roster, where she can appear on any show now. Or she can at least now be a supporting character on the new Superman show.

There doesn't seem to be any confirmation as to why it's getting cancelled, but speculation is ratings. I haven't looked at the numbers, but the CW has always had a very low bar one has to jump for ratings to get renewed. SOme shows even go under a million viewers at times, and the still get renewed. The new Superman show probably added to the fire. As for how I feel about it? Ehhh, good ridance. It was a bad show that lacked an identity that wasn't Clark Kent but a girl. But, that's just my opinion. A 6 season 100+ episode run is nothing to sneeze at, and the crew can at least hold their heads high for that.

I've been meaning to read Moore's Supreme. But I can't find it anywhere for a decent price, only expensive reseller's on Amazon. I did read Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow, and I much prefer that All Star. A brilliant meta end cap to the silver age as a whole, not just Superman
