Sex in Rpg, your opinions

I'm don't care , as long as I don't have to read it or be bothered by some one who doesn't get the hint. You see to me writing a sex scene is probably one of the most difficult things to do. Plus on another note,CV rpg's raunchiness being open to minors worries the hell out of me, with good reason.

If you don't do it right which can be usually seen from the first sentence, then it just looks sad as hell.

I Right a Very Sexually Active character, Which honestly is somewhat easy to write, But It's not easy to write well. I Believe that in a RPG You should make the scene just kinda be a romance one rather then a f*cking one, I've seen people Like Mr.Mercury write a few extremely well. Once again in my book it's alright if you write a paragraph about it, But don't be detailed literally describing the acts. It's all fun to write, But there's a line.

My opinion is no more than fade to black in public role plays where people can see or describe things in incredibly vague terms, but do whatever the hell you want in PMs. That's what they're for.

Personally, because this is a kid friendly site, I think its ok to elude to it. Anything more is against rules and shouldn't be posted. A lot of us older more experienced RPGers just simply take stuff like that to PMs. Romance is going to happen between characters. Its a given. So naturally there is going to be some sexual content. But it's just not as relevant.

I do it, but I usually have a huge conflict when doing so. I try to mention it subtlety. (except Y)

The whole "Fade to black" method is what I go for as well.

As Tank, I was a horrible, violent, misogynistic madman who didn't understand the meaning of the word "no", or any word with over five syllables.

As Longshot, I only ever got some with that sand woman at the end of the KOV.

From those experiences, I know that it's easy to elude. It's easy to have a character being violent or carnal, and it's easy to have a character being taken behind closed doors, but it's very difficult to write a sexual situation that's healthy, emotional, appropriate and, above all, improving upon the story. Writing a scene like that well, being true to both characters, and knowing when to say "cut" is important, but you really need to be certain that what you're doing adds something to the story you want to tell before you go through with it.

I have written them before on another website but not here. I think it's fine as long as people don't make it explicit, keep it romantic and don't push it.

Sometimes making it explicit is apart of your characters nature.

Zora and Espada were into all kinds of naughty naughty things. If Ferro and I ever had to write a sex scene for the two... It would now be safe for childrens eyes.

Now Kiara. She is much more the romantic type. Anything regarding sex with her would be tasteful and completely unabashed passion.

Last Time I Checked only certain words were banned.....And that's some true sh*t.

@Ult_Shadowknight: All swear words are banned darlin. WE can censor them, but outright saying them is against rules. I know because I had to go through eleven chapters of my fanfic and censor each and every word that is a swear word.

There are ways to write a sex scene without it being graphic at all, or even exactly saying what happens, but giving the reader an idea of what may have just happened.

The book Sold does a very well job of doing that lol

I think it depends on the type of RPG you are doing and it's not there just for the sake of sex. Like if you are going for the real life feel then I think it's OK. But when it's a murder mystery - not so much. And like a few others have said - if it fits the character then it's OK too. And really - I am not responsible for others' children. If you kid reads an R-rated RPG it's your fault, not mine.

Mercury does sex in RPG perfectly.
