How will 'The Punisher' Do With 'Thor'?
Does it seem like actors that have previously portrayed superhero characters gravitate to superhero films again, or is it just me? According to a recent report from EMPIRE, actor Ray Stevenson who previously portrayed Frank Castle on the big screen, is gearing up to play Volstagg The Valiant in the upcoming Marvel film 'Thor.' Stevensen's character is a member of 'The Warriors Three,' and he will play alongside both Stuart Townsend and Tadanobu Asano.
Traditionally, the character is supposed to be a bit on the large side, giving Stevensen very little time to bulk up, since filming will begin in about a month. The solution? Why, a fat suit, of course!
It sounds like Stevensen is pretty geared up to get started, which makes things all the more exciting. What do you think of the idea of a 'Thor' movie? Are you looking forward to it?"I've tried the suit on, and what they've done is kind of sex him up: he's sort of slimmer but rounder. He's got every bit of that Falstaffian verve and vigour, and a bit of a beergut to suggest that enormous appetite, but he's not the sort of Weeble-shaped figure he is in the comics. He's Falstaff with muscles. I've got this amazing foam-injected undersuit that flexes with me. I can't wait!"
