The more I think about it, the more I believe Thanos could actually create his own Ultimate Nullifier if he wanted to.

For God's sake, he spliced his own DNA with Galactus. There's pretty much nothing he can't do with Prep. I'm starting to think I created a Thanos stomp thread.

I was just really trying to test what it would take to put Galactus and Thanos on a 5/ 10 level. Clearly, Galactus 10/10s Thanos without prep, but Thanos might 10/10 Galactus with prep. I guess there's just no way to make it even. It's either a stomp for one or the other.

Thanos is basically The Doctor in this scenario.

@kangconquers: Completely agree. I'm not sure why Apocalypse is mentioned anywhere near their level either, perhaps it's just his name lol.

Rather stomping Mjolnirless Thor, draw with High Evolutionary, holding Bannerless Hulk, winning with Stryfe, getting win with Jean Grey in Astral Plane until Cyke with Nathan's power come to help her...

High Evolutionary is the only showing that would put him in Trans Territory, and High Evolutionary is notoriously wishy washy in his showings. He might be less consistent than The Stranger.

Well... in Annihilation Thanos tricked Big G and Surfer and make them fight two beings as strong as Galactus, resulting in their defeat. Thanos 8-9/10 since Galactus is unaware of his plans.

I feel like Thanos gets a tad underrated for non-Macguffin prep on the vine. I'd say he stomps Doom and Reed in a prep war.

The Tenebrous and Aegis fight slipped my mind. Thanos always has an ace up his sleeve. Even though Cosmic beings and Skyfathers are supposedly omniscient based on handbook ratings, I feel like Thanos could routinely outsmart just about anyone in the Marvel universe.

Ultimately, Zeus puts Thanos down. Similar durability level, but Thanos has nothing offensively that he can take a genuine Skyfather down with. Give him a week of prep, and yes. But inherently? No.

I figure it's because he serves roughly the same purpose in the X-Men canon as Darkseid and Thanos do in Justice League and Avengers canon.

People get excited about Apocalypse's ability to manipulate his own molecules, the same way they get excited about Silver Surfer's matter manipulation. This only goes so far though, when a character can potentially bfr you into a black hole (and unlike Thanos, who has survived a black hole, Apocalypse would succumb.)

Peak Drax stomps. Current Drax is very nebulous and ill-defined.

@kangconquers: Agreed. Apocalypse isn't even needed

Still not sure why Apocalypse is put on par with the other two. He is at best, at his very highest showings, Silver Surfer level. At worst, he doesn't definitively clear Surfer, Thor, or most non-canon fodder Green Lanterns.

You have to remember, Thanos and Darkseid are plot devices, as are all villains. Their purpose is to be team busters, which means most teams lose to them without PiS or CiS.

- No Macguffins (HoTU, Cosmic Cube, IG.) Thanos must create something to take Galactus down, using only his intellect and resources.
- Galactus is moderately fed.
- Thanos has one week prep.
- Galactus is unaware that Thanos is trying to take him down.

Can the Marvel Universe's top prep-artist take down the Big G?

Adult Franklin Richards vs. Every Skyfather, Every X-Men, SHIELD w/ full resources, Every Avenger, The F4, The Defenders, and the Guardians of the Galaxy.

No prep.

Anyone who says Iceman solos gets punched in the throat.
