Since this thread was created, I've read every Avengers issue, including John Byrne's West Coast Avengers. Where Immortus is shown to be able to wipe out timelines without an amp.

Bloodlusted Immortus not only snaps away Ultron, but every version of Ultron ever, with the wave of his hand.

Nefaria is a beefy brick, but Kang's hax should be able to deal with him due to his complete lack of resistance he has against it. Nefaria's more of a physical fighter than anything else.

This is where I stand too. I also believe Kang's shields could resist Nefaria long enough to put him down.

Yeah, if they don't randomly shut off for no reason like what happens in a few of his stories, he should be fine.

Well, Kang's shields can withstand anything except for Hawkeye's arrows. This is canon and reoccurring. lol

@kangconquers: Nah man gum it up lol, more bumps are good for me

In that case, and I know I ask you this about every character, so forgive me my predictability. Tier level for the Imperator?

Eh, I feel like if that were the intent, he'd have been more direct and a lot less flowery with his speech, and such statements certainly wouldn't be reflective of the actual physicals he's shown. Otherwise, he'd absolutely murderstomp Strange, who was heavily depowered at the time, and would have done the same with Mister Misery.

In fact, I'm pretty sure someone who shoots supernovas out of their eyes and has the strength of a "supermassive black hole" would have a clear upperhand even against normal Strange.

That's just a characteristic from Aaron's writing, Gorr did the same dramatic speech in his fight against King Thor when comparing his organs to parts of the universe. Or from Strange's comics in general where characters tend to brag about their powers often to remind the reader of the stakes, of how powerful they are and etc. And really, not that I disagree with you, but not all comics are going to represent how you personally view a character or their power-level.

A small one.

That's still not the same as literally having none, though.

Kind of a semantic argument. Every hero who has an on-going title for more than 50 issues starts to develop a rogues gallery. Of course he has one. I'd say Strange, who has a healthy number of solo issues, has a relatively small circle of reoccurring threats.

Small enough that villains with one-two arcs pop up in his top 10. I like Doctor Strange a lot, and love many of those characters. But it's a series of Entity/ Sorcerer of the month. Salome and Urthona are great examples of that.

I considered the Imperator someone who at least stood out in Strange's rogues gallery as not being a repetitive character. But out of respect to ProfessorRespect, I'm not going to gum up his respect thread with this argument. You're free to DM me if you wish to pursue it.

Strange has about 10-12 villains who have appeared in non-consecutive issues. There are tons of Doctor Strange villains who are relevant for like a year or two in the 1980s, like Uthona, Salome etc.

A main rogues gallery to me is the characters that keep coming back. For Strange that'd be: Dormammu, Umar, Mordo, Nightmare, Shuma Gorath, Mephisto, and Satannish + Dweller in Darkness to a lesser degree.

Which would mean that Strange does have a rogue gallery.

A small one.

You're kidding, right?

This guy is more exaggerated (Sentry-alike) than ever, but looks nice

I wouldn't say exaggerated, more untested. He's only appeared in one arc that lasted maybe five issues, half of which didn't have him even around.

Yet he makes my top 10 Doctor Strange villains list cause Strange has no rogues gallery...hah.
