Though, isn't it more unlikely that there would be an atheist president? Not only will many people be against him/her because of bias, but (correct me if I am wrong) I thought I read that there was a law that said an atheist couldn't be president?
I don't know, that may have just been one of those laws no one cares about lol
I would think there's been a few past presidents who are atheist but kept that to themselves. As for a law being against it, I wouldn't be surprised.

Probably going to happen in 2016. Everyone will vote for Hilary because she is a woman. Same as what happened with Obama. But it shouldn't happen because she is a psycho.
Ya, doubt soon though seeing as Hilary reminds us to much of the current administration and the previous one as well (and will probably be going up against Rand Paul who has a huge independent and 3rd party following) and will never be able to shake off Bengazi......and Palin is....just a nut job so it will be a while

I would vote for a female if she seemed like a good leader. if she didn't seem like a good candidate i wouldn't vote for her. I think that the only reason that people voted for Obama was because he was black. People should vote for a president based off of what they do not what they look like
I really believe a woman can make a great president..There are woman leading countries all over the world..They do a fabulous job..To think a woman would not protect her country is absurd, have you ever seen a woman protect her children..trust me they can do it...they are a little more diplomatic then us men. Maybe our country needs some emotion so we can understand other nations better and how to put some compassion in our own. My belief is anybody can be president it just depends if they are worthy,qualified, and can handle it..I cannot put a label on it..be it man-woman -black white-hispanic....in the end it is the person that matter if they can do it..

Some do a horrible job as leaders, not a women care for the children the society won't change that much with a women in charges it is the politics that matters in the end not the gender. A women can easily be a cold hearted and hard - just look at one of the most famous female leaders there has been on earth; Thatcher.
If I could get time with her and we could become friends, I'd even vote for her, even though I disagree with most of her political positions; so far, from what I've seen of her, she's a nice and approachable person; she's just got strong views; again, too bad she's with Todd, but, hopefully, she's happy. To me, she's just plain gorgeous and seems to be nice, especially in this picture; I love women in glasses; I just need to meet her in person to really know how nice she really might be; if you understand her, she's actually pretty smart; I don't get why people question her intelligence. I guess for me, it's much harder for me to even consider voting for a republican man than a republican woman.

Does he have a chance at the nomination?? Sure--and I think he's a better choice than Jeb Bush. At the Presidency? More so than Jeb Bush. But my original statement stands the GOP is a mess and ineffective. I honestly believe that either the GOP needs to do some serious character building in the next 2 years or the DNP creates a major crisis for the GOP to take back the White House. As it stands I'm about 85% sure our next President will be a Democrat. I'm 100% sure our next President is a Democrat if it's Hillary vs. Jeb.

And anyway,relating to the thread,the greatness of a leader has very little to do with their race/gender/sexual orientation,etc.
However,not everyone still thinks that way (and that's their prerogative,they shouldn't be judged based off of their views),but a woman can be just as great,if not greater,than a man can be. It has very little to do with superficial qualities,but there are a large number of republicans with right-wing views,so I doubt anytime soon,unfortunately. And even if we DID get such a miracle,the scrutiny would come at every turn (like what is being done with Obama for many people).
