Wonder Woman #13
Tony Akins does a fairly good job at filling in for Cliff Chaing. The actions that Wonder Woman does in this issue, his art makes them look godlike and beautiful. The quirky expressions that he adds to the characters adds a sense of drama. The story is pure gold. We get to see the arrive of a new villain character. Then, we get to see Apollo, fresh from last issue, gather the gods together and it adds a lot of interesting new details about what Apollo is doing. Then we get to see Wonder Woman. It's great to see and the conflicts with Zola and Hera now that she is a mortal. When Wonder Woman goes to Libya and flies into the air, you just feel the wonder from the page and you smile. If you think that this Wonder Woman has been a little less wonderful, her interactions with a young girl, really gives you the feeling of who she is. Brian Azzarello does a great job at the dialog and every character is interesting and you want to know more.
THE BAD:
Tony Akins art is very inconsistent in some panels.
THE VERDICT: 4.5/5 (Amazing)
Brian Azzarello has made my favorite character into something more then I ever though possible. He continues with this gods story but he manages to make it feel like a new start. The direction of this series shows nothing but promise. If you haven't been reading Wonder Woman you are missing out of one of the best revamps of the New 52 and one of the best comic that is being published. I highly recommend this issue and every other issue of this amazing series,
