Aunt May and Uncle Ben were created in a time when grown-ups were depicted as old folks. At least that's how I see it.

The Spider-Man comics and the Raimi devastation of a film franchise made made me feel like it was Peter Parker and his Gramma May and Grampa Ben. After all, Pete's in his teens. He's still in high school. It makes no sense to me having an aunt and uncle who look anywhere between their 60s and 70s.

I think casting actors to depict younger versions of the characters is a plus for me. Which is why I always enjoyed reading Ultimate Aunt May more than regular Aunt May (as lovely as she can be).

And I think that's something Marvel has a great advantage of. They have their Earth-616 universe with all the great stories over the years. But they also have the very successful and awesome Ultimate Universe to work with. They have the opportunity to take bits and pieces from each universe and mesh them together to make one great movie with (as well as TV series).

Only problem I have with this upcoming reboot is that it's still under Sony/Columbia. I don't know if and when and how, but I want Disney to pursue this franchise aggressively to get them under the Marvel Studios banner.

Why no mustache?

Why do all of Banner's clothing rip off during transformation except for his pants?

Why are those pants suddenly purple all the time no matter what Banner wears?

Why are Red Hulk's hair black when Ross has white hair?

I think we can keep going with these types of questions. But, in my opinion, it all comes down to how cool it looks.

And honestly, the Hulk was created in 1962 (nearly half a century ago), we know very well that artists didn't consider minute details like the ones we look for in our day and time. Kirby probably had no time to consider everything seeing as how many projects he was working on. And of course, any artist who took the reigns since the characters' inception just carried the ball as is.

It's always a matter of opinion, of course. That goes without saying. But I think the fact that the FF have matching costumes is something that sets them apart. I might be wrong, but I believe they're the only team these days who have team uniforms. At least as far as the major teams are concerned. You look at the different Avengers teams, the JLA & JSA, the (Teen) Titans, and even the X-Men, they all have their individual costumes, whether on solo or team adventures.

I remember when Stan and Kirby brought us the Marvel Age in the 60s, the FF and the X-Men were introduced to us as teams, and they made that evident by giving each team's members matching uniforms. That was opposed to the Avengers, which was a union of a group of solo superheroes who already had their own costumes/identities. The simplicity of it is attractive to me.

In Ancient Mythologies, gods were as flawed as the mortals. They were as evil, unjust, jealous, and possessed other imperfect qualities and personalities. This is why they were such popular characters and their stories so compelling (as well as the stories they were involved in).

IF I was involved, I'd propose these ideas:

On the Bruce Wayne front:
1- Talia Al Ghul seeks to avenge her father's death, but ultimately falls in love with Bruce.

2- Ra's returns (Neeson reprising) thanks to the Lazarus Pit.

On the Batman front:
1- With Falcone and Maroni out, Black Mask moves in to become the kingpin of Gotham. Being a little more than your typical crimelord, Mask proves a tougher match for Batman. (to me, this idea keeps with the mob theme highlighted in the two first films, but the fact that it's a supervillain and not just some other typical mobster, it makes things rather different).

2- IF there is a fourth instalment, I'd begin dropping hints for the villain of the fourth film. Commissioner Gordon and the GCPD are having a hard time finding a criminal who leaves riddles at every crime scene. You guessed it, I'd propose to write in the Riddler being built up in this film and making him the lead villain for the Batman 4.

With the big debut of Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes a few weeks away, I was wondering what the status of the Thor animated series is. Wikipedia says there are 26-episodes ordered and that a show featuring the God of Thunder would debut late-2010. I'm not sure how accurate that is. Maybe no one has really updated Wikipedia's page yet. But I'm hoping maybe a more enlightened fan can in turn enlighten me on any more info on this supposed animated series.

The timing is obviously perfect, seeing as how the direct-to-video animated film Thor: Son of Asgard will be out early-2011, and together hyping up the big Thor live-acion film in time for its release. But if the animated series is slated for a late-2010 debut, shouldn't some kind of promotion begin? I know all of the hype is placed on the Avengers show since it is out first (and soon at that), but you'd think some more information on Thor would be released? Has it been delayed? Maybe shelved?

I think if they do go for Demon In a Bottle, they're working towards that beautifully. Instead of just turning him into a drunk overnight, they're building towards it. It's more of a natural progression than it suddenly being forced down our throats.

And I think that it would make A LOT of sense if Tony succumbs to alcoholism after his adventures in Iron Man, Iron Man 2, and The Avengers. Everybody deals with their issues differently, Tony turns to drinking.

I'd definitely be down for a Demon In a Bottle as a theme for Iron Man 3. It doesn't need to be specifically a copy of the comic arc. But it can definitely be a heavy influence.

This is what could set IM3 apart from the others, Tony Stark is in a dark place and it can have a more serious tone than the previous films. He'll obviously never lose his sense of humor and his charm. But to have him be a little more dark in this film would be great. And if RDJ is still around for that one, I'm more than 100% sure that he can pull it off.

Solaris is pretty big in the comic and in that trailer he looks big too.  "

Yea... but my point is that they always have to involve Lex Luthor. Like I said, seeing as this film is inspired by an existing storyline, I can't ask for them to remove one of the main characters of the story. But I think DC needs to spice it up a bit. Superman doesn't always need Lex Luthor involved. I'd love to see a Superman feature (both animated and live-action)where Lex has nothing to do with the story.

Looks real good!

But I can't help but wonder if and when DC will stop making Lex Luthor Superman's villain all the time. Granted, this film is directly inspired by an existing book and storyline. But I find Superman has a fair amount of interesting villains to not need Lex Luthor somehow or directly involved as his enemy.
