This goes to Andre. It’s widely known how great of a martial artist Bruce Lee was (and how incredibly dangerous he could be) but Andre is a different story.
Andre stood around 7’4” and weighed over 600 lbs. at his largest. He weighed far less during peak years. He was freakishly strong to the point where he has been able to tip a car over with his bare hands, while 4 men were in the same vehicle. When the police came to arrest him, they couldn’t fit the cuffs on him because his wrists were a foot in diameter.
Andre once took a real life punch to the face from a dinosaur of a man known as “Blackjack Mulligan”. It was said to be a sucker punch, while Andre was sitting, square across the jaw as Mulligan had sworn to his friends that he could knock Andre out in the hotel they were staying at... the man ended being hung out of a window by Andre begging for his life.
His disease also greatly thickened bones, overall mass, and constitution to be nearly superhuman. Stories recount Andre being able to drink as much as 156 beers in one sitting (which I think is the record). He would eat 15 lobsters and 12 steaks in a single sitting, two bottles of vodka just to get a buzz, and once drank 16 bottles of wine before wrestling three matches in a night... this may not be a testament to fighting prowess but a man with this kind of constitution couldn’t be harmed very easily by much, no matter what skill level a man of Bruce Lee’s size has.
Andre spent his entire life around titanic men who knew how to take a beating and who were highly dangerous in real life. Pro wrestlers, while scripted entertainers, were also known to be some of the scariest men in the world when confronted, especially throughout the US and Japan... Not a single person has ever been able to stand up to Andre in real life and it’s been well documented in interviews through many wrestlers. He was simply too huge of a man and by all accounts from his colleagues, and a man who knew how to wrestle for real. Andre remained undefeated in the entertainment world for so long simply because nobody, not even McMahaon, could make Andre lose a match. The Iron Sheik, who was once a body guard to the Shah of Iran and a champion Greco Roman wrestler, was practically tortured by Andre And he would play with him like he was in insect (real life not on screen). He even carried Arnold Schwarzenegger out of restaurant tucked his arm like a child just because Arnold payed the bill.
All Andre would need to do is get his hands on him once and it’s over. We aren’t talking about an MMA or other martial arts kind of fight with rules. With two hands, he could destroy any appendage and likely even break his skull by just sequeezing. With his reach and size would be just a matter of time. Andre was nearly impervious to pain and would take any strike Bruce Lee can throw him. With his extensive grappling skills, Bruce Lee has no chance trying to tangle up with him. Imagine trying to put a grizzle bear in an arm bar for instance (or something similar).
Andre has never been beaten when it comes to real life conflicts outside of the WWE nor has anybody even come close. On the other hand, Judo Gene Lebel (who was almost beaten by a mid card boxer), once picked up Bruce Lee in a fireman’s Carry and danced him around.
Andre was far from just a big man. He was truly a rarity and the likes that has never been seen. The same also goes for Bruce Lee who is obviously legendary in his own right. In this case though, unless Bruce Lee has a .44 magnum or better, this goes to Andre hands down.
