The title says it all.
How many Scorsese film/s are better than The Dark Knight and Infinity War(separately)?
Idk, but I can confidently say that IMO neither Casino, The Irishman nor Gangs of New York are better than TDK.

The Irishman was that bad? I thought it had a good transition from Scorsese's previous mob films. GOFNY was actually not a usual Irish Mob film and it was more different than that.
None of them are better than Ant Man & The Wasp
Nice Joke! Could you post that again and be more dramatic?
At least eleven. Taxi Driver, Mean Streets, Goodfellas, Casino, Raging Bull, Gangs of New York, Silence, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Departed, The King of Comedy, and The Irishman.

@faradaysloth: Eh that felt pretty flat if u consider that to be more dramatic.

I don't think The Irishman is bad. I think it's a solid 8. I just think TDK is better. I've already told you my problems with The Irishman, I think, but here are the key issues IMO:
- The first act felt like generic Scorsese gangster stuff
- The film is too long
- Pacino and De Niro, whilst good in the film, just kinda seem to be doing the same old stuff. Only Pesci really impressed me.
- The CG is extremely distracting, particularly De Niro's fake blue eyes.
- There are lots of moments where the CG is clearly intended to make them look younger but the actors are physically still moving like old men.
- There's too much humour throughout it.
- I feel like all the really good stuff was in the second half of the second act and the third act -- the whole movie should've had this kind of tone.
And Gangs of New York, whilst not same ol same ol Scorsese stuff, is just not nearly as good a movie as TDK. It's messy and forgettable by comparison, and it's not particularly well shot. I had no interest in Cameron Diaz's character either. Really the only thing that makes that film a real stand-out IMO is DDL's performance, which Ledger's work in TDK absolutely matches.
But still, let me say I that do not dislike Gangs of New York. I just think it pales in comparison to either director's usual standards.
>I think it was mostly like a coming of age film for me but for the most part, it was an Irish mob film. There is a consistent transition of the character throughout the film IMO.
>Yeah I can agree with you on that I guess
>Nah Pacino is far more versatile in general. In this film, he was a politician.
>Yeah I guess I can agree with you on that.
>Hunor in this particular films actually adds more depth of friendship of these characters but I guess you are still right about this though
>Don't Know. I felt the film had a great transition of characterization and adding more variant casting actually adds more depth towards these characters.
I was just saying that GONY was not an Irish Mob film like Irishman. I haven't rewatched GONY for a long time, therefore, I can't debate about this film.
Quite a few . But , the Dark Knight is better than 40 -50 % of Scorcese’s films .
Sigh
@vishop_:And what is the point of making a forum and asking for people's opinions if you have already made up your mind and are tearing down other people's views ?
Oh, nothing I was taking a deep breath after seeing your opinion. You have your own opinion I guess.
@wakeupsid: Yeah I guess it will.
Grand majority of Scorsese's films are better than TDK. Infinity War has no business being here lol.
There's nothing to compare. They're too different.
In terms of overall quality, they're all competently made movies so they all rank the same for that category in my book.
None for TDK.
The Departed, The Wolf Of Wall Street and Shutter Island for Infinity War. I'm not a huge fan of Goodfellas.
At least eleven. Taxi Driver, Mean Streets, Goodfellas, Casino, Raging Bull, Gangs of New York, Silence, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Departed, The King of Comedy, and The Irishman.
Not sure if I'd agree with Wolf of Wall Street, but that might just be me. Something always turned me off about the film.
Scorsese has quite a few films that top TDK like The Departed, Goodfellas, Casino, The Irishman, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver.
As for Infinity War, Shutter Island is another one I really enjoyed. There are others as well like The Wolf of Wall Street.
All of them.
Have you watched all of Scorsese's movies? He's made pretty mid and even outright bad films before. They're not that talked about, but he's made them.
None of them are better than Ant Man & The Wasp
Most of them are better than Infinity War. However, I'm not into gangster films so I wouldn't rate any of them higher than The Dark Knight.
if I had to argue for any Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, and Silence would be the movies to rival TDK. Taxi Driver being his best
@krisbishop: Scorsese is not just Gangster film director
