I am pretty sure that you can´t argue that Diana blocks Carols energy attacks while arguing that she blitzes she has not shown the ability to be able block prolonged energy attacks and still run full speed ahead and kill Carol before she can react which is what people seem to be arguing. Carol single handedly destroyed a spaceship fleet, and gigantic Sanctuary II. That's above Diana's pay grade. And you think she doesn't have enough power to take down Diana? That's actually funny.

@cocacolaman: Because Carol is a brick, Diana is an anti brick as evidenced by her confrontation with Doomsday. Her warhead feat was assisted by her energy amping, in her base form the warheads would have just crashed into Earth. Her striking is horribly embarrassing for her being a supposed high tier. @erkan12: Steppenwolf has higher piercing durability feats than Carol, who has none. She cut through Steppenwolf’s armor and cut his skin. Not only can she hurt Carol, she can and will kill her. Carol has no damage output that is in the range of Superman or Doomsday, and debatably Ares. She gets murdered.
@nightgate: The Shield made it impossible for Diana to move when using it against bullets and Doomsday’s energy emissions that were barely touching her. If Carol can make her use it, she can also get close and then abuse her strength advantage to keep the sword from one shotting her.

Not sure where people getting that idea, but she can't even do that even if Carol lets her.
Diana had a clean shot against Steppenwolf and she did only a minor damage.
If Steppen is half as durable as Carol he would be lucky, Carol is on a completely different level than Steppen in terms of durability.
