Nighthawk is front and center for the strangest show on earth: a murderous showcase of the Whiteface's homicidal tendencies!
Drugged by Steven Binst, Nighthawk relives the nightmarish murder of his parents at the hands of white supremacists. Richmond (Nighthawk) manages to survive the effects of Binst's poison gas. Binst waxes poetic about the similarities between himself and Nighthawk (brutal killers driven by unknown forces, into bondage and S&M), and reveals that Nighthawk has filled the hole in his soul that he was attempting to fill with dead bodies. While in prison, Binst shared a cell with a sheriff's deputy who was a rapist, and also a cohort of Judge Dempsey (not-so-secret but politically untouchable operator of Chicago's largest crack-cocaine distribution pipeline). Binst took advantage of this information to hijack Dempsey's drug operation as a delivery method for his deadly poisons.
Nighthawk escapes Binst's trap by burning down the tenement building, but Binst also manages to escape, tracking Nighthawk as he seeks treatment for his poison exposure from Doctor Arredondo at Chicago's Cook County Hospital. Binst murders Arredondo and finds Baby Doe #209, who Nighthawk previously saved from a junkie flophouse.
