    Flashpoint Face Punch!

This is it! This is where it all ENDS and then.....BEGINS!!!

AND THEN!!...........Barry runs after, catches and then punches himself in the kisser and the 'Flashpoint' happens? REALLY? It took 5 issues to get there? I don't know, I'm totally exhausted by it all. By the end of the issue and all of the ideas started to meld, I was just anxious for the 'Flashpoint' to happen and to move on. The Barry with Mom segments were okay but were a bit overtaken by what was going on around it. I felt like there was noise behind the story as I was reading. We all knew what was coming and I think the hype of that was a bit much to overcome.

So why 2.5 stars? I guess that is my rating for the entire series. I enjoyed the concept and the premise they were trying to pull off. But in the end, I'm not going to be Super Uber-Comic Book Guy and lie and say I have my head completely wrapped around the ending. Because I don't.

And don't even get me started on the treadmill............

The Good: As has been consistent with the series, Andy Kubert is at the top of his game art-wise, and the panel layouts are something strangely unique, not super amazing, but definitely gives off a different vibe than most comics. It was kind of neat to see pretty much every side character show up here for the big climactic battle, and the tension of the story was pretty high. The final emotional payoff was very poignant. Say what you will about the flaws in the story (And I will be saying a lot...
