Feels weird to say that a fake chest looks fake, but looking at the WW toy from the side, it looks like she's got implants.

Not to cop-out, but I think it would depend on how long the fight lasted. If batman was able to quickly size up cap, and didn't discount the shield, I think he'd go straight to some gadget/chemical thing to take cap out fast. The longer the fight lasts, the more it comes down to stamina. They might both be at some peak physical state, but unless there's a bat-serum going around I think the SSS in cap gives him the advantage in a longer term fight.

If you look at the possible origins of the Phantom Stranger, one of them is a man who hated Jesus and took money to flog him. So, Stranger's kind of been tied to Jesus, and I think making him Judas instead is a stronger back story and is a better reason why he was punished so severely.

I think it really comes down to a difference in taste. As a non-comic aside: I liked the original Halloween movie. Part of the appeal was never knowing quite why or how Michael got the way he was. When I went to see the remake, I ended up walking when it became clear that they were specifically saying that him coming from a screwed up home was what made him the way he was. By counterpoint, one of my friends is the exact opposite: she couldn't watch the original because she said not knowing the how and why was too distracting. She's not a huge horror movie fan, but really enjoyed the remake specifically because it had the back story that she felt the original was missing.

There was a Magic bullet ! It was forged by Illuminati mystics to prevent us from learning the truth!

That's absurd....I go through everybody's trash.

@csguterres: I'm with you. The Question/Huntress stuff from JLU was neat.

So we got the original Pandora, we've got a new twist on the Question, and apparently Phantom Stranger is Judas...

Am I the only person who is a little bothered by that? It just really bugs me how comics, epsecially DC, keep throwing people and elements from the Bible into their stories and act like we Christians should not be offended by that. I don't mean to sound preachy, but this is a sore subject with me.

What bugs me about this is that it's such and easy answer. I haven't read a lot with his character, but one of the things I always liked when he would pop up somewhere was that nobody knew exactly who or what he was. I think it was in the Books of Magic series where Constantine says that he once spent weeks trying to find out anything about the Stranger, and he couldn't come up with anything. There are any number of myths about the evils of greed; if that was the angle they were going for, there isn't/wasn't any need to be so blatant about it.

First off, I have to say I didn't read the comics involved.

That said, at least part of Wolverine's argument is right. Kids shouldn't be put in a situation, or forced to choose if they're going to kill someone or not.

On the flip side, if you're supposed to be working, and instead you're sitting in a bar, it's nobody's fault but your own if something goes so wrong that someone else has to clean up the mess.

I have to go with the people saying Thor /  Dr. Blake and Capt. Marvel /  Billy Batson.
Best secret ID is to not look like a superhero wearing a disguise.

I also like the answer about FF; basically "don't have one".

This sort of discussion always reminds me of an old issue of Superman I found in my then step-dad's attic. It would have been from some time in the 60's, but I don't remember the exact date.
In it, Supes gets knocked unconscious by some alien spore, which turns out to have been a setup by the Guardians on OA.
When he wakes up, they take him on a tour, and let him "accidentally" see video showing people not trying to save themselves, because they assume Superman will do it for them, as well as overhearing a "secret" meeting where the guardians are talking about how worried they are over Earth culture stagnating because everyone assumes Superman will always be there to fix everything.
He goes back to Earth, and helps some farm workers rebuild their homes, but then gives them all a talking to when they assume that he's going to go beat up the farm owner sort of 'just because'. I don't remember the exact wording of it, but he tells them that they need to stand up for, and help themselves instead of assuming he's going to do it for them.

Since then I've always assumed that, or some version of that, was why they didn't have him scouring the globe with the rest of the JSA looking for terrorists; if he (or other heroes) solved all our problems, we'd never grow up.
