ithinkitwasyou's X-Man #67 - Shockwave: part one: Infinities of Evil review

    Worst ever point blank period

This was one of the worst issues, and the definite beginning of the end of a great character that showed such amazing potential. Steve grant is by far one of the worst thing that could have happened to this title.

    The good

Nate introduced to the concept of the spiral. A multitude of drastically varying alternate realities. It was like the concept of the Exiles, which would have revitalized some of the interest around Nate, and the potential for a lot of great new adventures for him. The potential is the what was note worthy here.

    The bad

This issue singlehandedly dismantled everything that had been put into Nate Grey. One of the great and tragic aspects of Nate Grey was that he was just a kid with too much power, and that power was killing him. In this issue, the whole conflict of nate's powers is dissolved. madelyne Pryor (a fan favorite and part of the supporting cast) is made even more obscure, and confusing than ever, as she is revealed to be an Evil-er version of Madelyne pryor from an alternate reality.

The art was sub par at best.

I felt personally disrespected as a loyal fan. After reading this storyline, I knew that the comic sadly was soon to be canceled.

    The verdict

I wouldn't recommend it at all.
