Why would the way he win be plausible? That's pretty much the opposite of what happens in comics most of the time.

If I remember correctly, Dr. Doom mentioned that his Destroyer armor was incomplete.

He's the hero, t's his book, he just came back, and he's beat this armor before, why would this time be any different?

Just think about the downfall of people with powerful weapons, Thanos-Infinity Gauntlet, Annahilus-Galactus (he technically turned him into a weapon), and even on a smaller level Stark-Iron Man armor (during his drinking stage).
