My Top 10 Favorite Franchises

When I see something from these franchises, it triggers my ‘I should buy/read/see that’ reflex. This reflex contests with the budget restraint reflex, which usually wins. But the pull of these franchises is strong. It is a very conventional list, but can I help it if a lot of people have good taste?

@cosmicallyaware1: I bet there are a lot of Whovians lurking around CV. Questions come up on the podcast and the staff responses are enthusiastic. I also bet there are more Trekkers than you can see in the discussions. I don't know what the reason is, but licensed properties just don't get much buzz here (other than TMNT, which I'm not interested in).
