@rabbitearsblog: Yea, Colossus is the guy behind Ice Man. I'm ready to see him metal up though.

@jonez120: This movie will take place between two time periods. From what I can gather it is probably going to fill in like this:

  1. X-Men First Class
  2. X-Men Days of Future Past (The Past Part - Wolverine with Bone Claws)
  3. X-Men Origins: Wolverine
  4. X-Men
  5. X2
  6. X-Men 3: Last Stand
  7. The Wolverine
  8. X-Men Days of Future Past (The Future Part - Wolverine with Adamantium)

The Mystique that has been shown is the Jennifer Lawrence version that appears in X-Men First Class rather than the version of the original Trilogy played by Rebecca Romijn. As far as it is listed Rebecca Romijn is not included in Days of Future Past. However, you do hit a valid point about the post credit scene and the cure not being permanent seeing as how the Future Magneto seems to have his powers back. On another not from the picture it brings up the question of how does Wolverine regain the Adamantium over his bone claw. Know what we know from The Wolverine and the post credit scene he has to regain the Adamantium some how. Will we get that answer in the this movie though?

Hmm interested to see Gambit on the big screen again, but Channing Tatum gives me some reservations.

@the_mast: He is following the comic representation of Trask. He was exactly short, but other than that he is modeled after what has been seen in comics and animated movies/shows. So I don't see this as being a "massive plot hole".

Theses still are mostly nice, but I am still not sold on the Quicksilver part. Not a fan of the look and costume and it seems like they are messing up his roots. Only time will tell if this will be a successful movie or not.

I have been a comic fan for quite some time now, but one part of the world that I have not dove into yet has been the Statue arena. The time has come to where I am interested in investing some hard earn money into getting a really cool statue. Who knew it was going to be so hard and so expensive. It just so happens that two of my favorite characters are not the easiest to find. With that being said I will admit that I am a bit particular. If I'm going to end up spending triple digits on one I must really like it and would want it out where all can see. Because of this I have leaned more towards the Sideshow and Kotobukiya brands. Of course they are not the cheapest of the bunch but their size and details have grabbed my attention. I have been looking for a Angel / Archangel or a Colossus statue for some time now, but have yet been able to really find one for less than $300 - $400. Which I am not against paying that much for them it is just hard to really settle on one and take a shot. I've basically been looking at Marvel characters as my first item and could expand to DC, but most of my favorites are from the Marvel world. I guess I have a few questions for any of the Viners that may run across this topic:

1.) Any advice for someone who is new to the world of Statues.

2.) Any particular site that you have found that has good selection. (Other than Amazon, ebay ect.)

3.) Personal preference as to which company tend to have the best. Whether it be Sideshow or Kotobukiya or maybe one of the other companies like Bowen or Diamond.

4.) Is one companies product better made than the rest? Materials are high quality, made well, ect.

5.) Any other sites that are good about keeping buyers informed about new Statues? Besides signing up to the newsletters from the companies websites.

Any and all information is gladly accepted. I'm just trying to work my way into a different part of the comic book world and it is pretty daunting. Thanks for any and all information.

Sam and Dean Winchester vs. Stefan and Damon Salvatore. It's not really comic book characters, but it would still be a good one.

Vampire Diaries?!

BANNED.

But really, sorry, I try to keep it limited to comic book characters. Perhaps you could make that in Off-Topic?

Not that I really want to see this match up, but it is a possible match up in a round about way. You want to keep it with comic book characters, well DC has put out multiple volumes of that Supernatural as well as a new run of that Banned one (VD). So you could do it.... if you had to scrape the bottom of the barrel for some reason.

I do not know much about X-O, but from what I have read on here it doesn't seem like a good selection for this. Your putting up a pretty simplified version of Colossus against a warrior with a super advanced suit. You have a brute that is best utilized at close range against someone he can evidently fly, shoot lazers, and has other weapons that come with his suit. Honestly I don't understand how you expect to get a discussion started when it seems like there too far apart in means of powers. I'm sure X-O is going to win handily because he can fly around and basically attack from afar, where as Colossus is kind of limited to staying on the ground. The only thing that could possible give this a closer comparison is if you give Colossus his Cyttorak power that he gained during Fear Itself or give him his Phoenix Force power. If he was fitted with one of those then this battle would be more appealing, but if not it doesn't even seem like a good battle. As much as I love Colossus this battle doesn't give him much chance at more than 2 or 3 victories out of 10 and that only if X-O stayed close and did some H2H, then he would have more of a chance. Props goes to X-O for being pretty awesome, but somebody else beside Colossus would have been a better choice if he doesn't get a helping hand from Cyttorak or Phoenix Force.

Tough Choice. I'd say I like Psylocke. She can kick some tale and take some names. Plus, she was part of the Uncanny X-Force (Vol 1) and that's one of my favorite runs.

I'm In. Looks like it could be a decent movie. I like the actors/actresses and the producers that worked on it (Big fan of the Underworld series). I'll at least give it a look. Not saying it will be a superb movie, but it's more attention grabbing (based on the trailer) than most of the other movies released in January.

I just don't see how MOS can be sweeping the entire thing. I was not impressed by any means by it. Oh well I guess the comic vine community sees it much different than me.

This has me...... Excited. I think this movie jumped up to number 2 on my, Ready to Watch in 2014 List. It falls right behind Captain America: Winter Solider. I think there is a chance for this movie to be awesome. It does come off as having a shallow plot, but I have high hopes for what can become of this. All the Easter eggs dropped in the trailer have me real pumped at what can become of the these movies and the Sinister Six. I'm glad that Andrew Garfield is back as Spidey. He is a great actor and suits Peter Parker near perfectly IMO. Many of the characters look like they jumped off the pages of Ultimate Spider-man. So ready to watch this. I have high hopes for this movie and for the franchise. Lets not blow it Sony.
