Revelations Galore 0

Chew relishes in its unpredictability and loose adherence to comic structure, so it should come as no surprise that this month's issue features a rather interesting prologue that had me quite worried at first.It's hard to review issues of Chew without giving up too many spoilers, but it shouldn't be too much to say that Toni, one of my favorite characters from the book, partners up with Tony to investigate a real mystery in Area 51. What I love most about Chew is that the narrative has been slow...

The War of the Four Cities Ramps Up 0

Hickman's run on the Fantastic Four and FF has been truly (forgive me) fantastic with plot threads constantly being set aside and picked back up when you least suspected. Thing's survivor's guilt and increasing sense of alienation in the Future Foundation has been in the background of more exciting/important events to date, but seeing him get a chance to talk it out with Alicia, who he hasn't seen since the week he was cured, was vitally important for the character. Chances are we'll need Thing ...

An emotional end to one of my favorite characters 0

Death of Spider-Man: Prologue caught a lot of flack for not really showing a clear direction for what exactly was going to be killing poor old Spidey, but really it's way more sinister. Spider-Man's life finally seemed to be getting in order, things were really starting to look up, and then this.GoodI love that Bendis and Bagley were reunited for these last issues of the behemoth book that they both pushed to the forefront of the Ultimate universe. Their collaboration is top-notch in this book. ...
