A lot of votes for vigilante. That's when you know the CW has royally screwed adapting Deathstroke. A WORLDS deadliest assassin should be able to take like 5 vigilantes.

Meanwhile in the CW every woman in Olivers life is getting a lick in.

It looks far better now. It's really a non-issue with the reboot. I'm fine with White or Black. Liefelds #0 issue with blonde was a travesty anyway. Happy with what Daniels is doing.

So hyped for Godkiller. It sounds unlike anything that has come before in Deathstrokes history and will probably put Slade on a whole new level of dangerous. Also really interested to see how the end of this arc leads into that one or if convergence is to blame.

@ren_: Lang is far too old. 62 in fact. Even now it'd be a stretch. I know where you're coming from though because he used to be my top pick for awhile. He just wouldn't be able to reprise the role effectively. He'd play a supporting role in suicide squad and we would have to retire the cinematic version of the character or re-cast almost immediately. Same goes for Ron Perlman (64) who really isn't more than a voice when it comes to Slade. Joe Mangianello (34) has staying power. If Deathstroke shoots up in popularity after SS Manganiello can return for multiple films down the road and has more than enough time to establish a household name in the DCCU.

-Spoilers- I think they handled Slade poorly with this episode. They treated it like letting the pup out of the play pin for fresh air. When Green Arrows little sister is the variable that tips the scales against Deathstroke the Terminator something is definitely wrong. And Slade still holds this dumb grudge which should have dissipated at the end of season 2. At this rate the mainstream Arrow demographic is going to identify Slade as the overly attached boyfriend/acquaintance who (thank god) was shown mercy by Thea Queen. Then he's back in his cell? Talk about anti-climactic. The writers need to get a clue with this character. Otherwise the episode was decent. I'm a bit biased of course but it truly ticks me off to see this disservice to what should be DC's worlds deadliest assassin.

Midnighter kidnapped, tortured, and blew up Grant Wilson a la joker and Jason Todd style. Grant however survived. He was later possessed by his brother Joseph and Deathstroke was forced to kill Grant himself.

That may be how you find him interesting and you may think he shouldn't be a protagonist. I understand that. It doesn't change what is though. And what is just so happens to be Deathstroke as the protagonist in his own book without Titans.

I'm not being disrespectful. The Titans are kids. One of the greatest teams of all time or not.

On the contrary. I'm just not clinging to the past. Slade hasn't had a serious reason to go after kids for a long time. Especially in the new 52. The Titans didn't kill Grant. Slade did. Rivalries are born, and rivalries end.

All just a part of the chain that has brought Slade to who he is today.

Deathstroke is no longer the Antagonist monster in the closet from the 80's. He's a protagonist, with his own life, his own missions, and he can fight it out with the best of them.

In this day in age. THIS decade. Anchoring him to where he was in the beginning is only embarrassing to the character. Some people STILL won't let the character live down how he "can't even beat a group of kids" even though he has put plenty to the blade in recent years. It's been done to death and it's just so dated.

I say let him be the worlds deadliest assassin, "Deathstroke the Terminator". Not forever shackled to "Deathstroke the tactfully frustrated father."

It all boils down to story progression.

Look at where Deadpool is today. In his inception he hunted down the new mutants. Is he still doing that? Not so much. He's all over the place.

Just because I don't think a character should be doing what he was doing 34 years ago doesn't mean I don't know a character.

I think DC is just beginning to realize they're sitting on a gold mine with Slade. I believe he's a great character if not one of the best these days. There is so much untapped potential in the character beyond hunting children or getting his ass kicked 20 different ways by Batmans pre teen protege and his best bros. Daniel is going to pin Slade up against threats that rival Darkseid and bring the mercenary to the forefront of some of the biggest names around. That sounds quite on track to me. The Terminator is big league. So maybe he isn't going to try to manipulate teenagers for the 78th time and sink into the same old routine and obscurity once again. I think given time the character is going to go so much further than he already has in the past couple of years. Which is an impressively long way.

While a characters roots are important and should never be forgotten, I think the child play should be left in the past. Sure cross paths with the Titans here and there but never make it all that slade is about. Just my opinion.

It is never actually explained how Deathstroke obtained the Nth metal infused armor.

There has never been any mention of his children possessing Nth metal armor.

Wether Tony Daniel will acknowledge what the armor is made of in his run is yet to be seen.

I feel the same. I like Daniels idea of Slade bringing different gear to different missions. I don't doubt we'll see the return of the bo staff at some point.
