All of this was caused by a nursery rhyme?!
Synopsis: The team finally goes up against Enchantress.
What's Good?
One thing to note about this issue is how Enchantress is effecting the DC universe. Like with the Justice League cameo in the first issue, some heroes from other series make a small appearance in this issue dealing with Enchantress' magic. The group finally comes together (minus a two people) and they do show that together, they can be a team. And while this "team" saved the world, they got a long way before they actually become a team.
But we have one problem: Xanadu. While she did bring the group together to stop Enchantress, she did so selfishly. Wouldn't things be so much simpler if people just told the truth instead of cryptic foreshadowing?
Mikel Janin shows of his best work to date with this series. I love how detailed the monster composed of millions of Enchantress and June Moone look. I also love how colorful this issue is, showing off a nice blend of magic and horror.
What's Bad?
After reading this issue, I get this distinctive feeling that somehow, all of this could have been prevented. Hell, I don't even think everyone was necessary because Constantine pretty much took care of everything without breaking a sweat. We should call this series: Constantine and the Outsiders (I kid).
Overall:
Finally, this story arc is over. We have the characters introduced, but they don't officially become a team. That's actually a great idea as long as it does the other issues doesn't drag like this first arc.
