All of this was caused by a nursery rhyme?!

Synopsis: The team finally goes up against Enchantress.

    What's Good?

One thing to note about this issue is how Enchantress is effecting the DC universe. Like with the Justice League cameo in the first issue, some heroes from other series make a small appearance in this issue dealing with Enchantress' magic. The group finally comes together (minus a two people) and they do show that together, they can be a team. And while this "team" saved the world, they got a long way before they actually become a team.

But we have one problem: Xanadu. While she did bring the group together to stop Enchantress, she did so selfishly. Wouldn't things be so much simpler if people just told the truth instead of cryptic foreshadowing?

Mikel Janin shows of his best work to date with this series. I love how detailed the monster composed of millions of Enchantress and June Moone look. I also love how colorful this issue is, showing off a nice blend of magic and horror.

    What's Bad?

After reading this issue, I get this distinctive feeling that somehow, all of this could have been prevented. Hell, I don't even think everyone was necessary because Constantine pretty much took care of everything without breaking a sweat. We should call this series: Constantine and the Outsiders (I kid).

    Overall:

Finally, this story arc is over. We have the characters introduced, but they don't officially become a team. That's actually a great idea as long as it does the other issues doesn't drag like this first arc.

Wrapping up the first story arc in the series, the issues mostly succeeds here where it has failed top previously.  Surprisingly at this point the series is still stuck in a sort of up and down pattern with this issue being a relatively decent one followed by a weaker one.  The action here is pretty decent though as with magic and such powerful players, a lot of the actual action is more internalized for the characters than an actual threat.  The showdown between Constantine and Boston was prett...

How Come Mindwarp Isn't On the Cover? 0

This series really emphasizes this notion that The Dark titles are all in their own little corner of the DC Universe, which is kind of odd, but what they did with it here is pretty cool. I complained last issue about not seeing any other heroes reacting, but this addresses this by showing us how what some of the other Dark heroes are dealing with in the wake of this threat. It ends up being a neat little touch, though I think Frankenstein should've helped the serious fiction readers in their fig...
