I have yet to see the fourth season of Heroes but I'm one of the minority in the world that doesn't worship at the altar of Lost. However, what do you think messed Heroes up while Lost remained viable to the general public?
Why was Heroes considered lame and Lost still considered good?
Here, here.
@MadripoorEconomy: I think there are three primary reasons.
1. ,The fact there were a lot of plot lines getting a mixed up in a way with the time travel and jumping around, which had a tendency to confuse and annoy some viewers. Personally I didn't mind and in fact was one of the reasons I kept watching the show, to see how they'd get resolved.
2. I think that some viewers just have short attention spans and want everything resolved right away.
3. Lastly, there was some over the top acting and I admit I found it annoying BUT I dealt with it because there is plenty of over the top acting and themes in other shows.
Regarding LOST, I can't say exactly because I've only seen the first 3 episodes. I've meant to watch them but due to reasons I just never followed it. It seems pretty good but I think I figured some things out early on and therefore "lost" interest. I think why a lot of people like LOST is because of the actors involved. I know Matthew Fox has a strong female following, so I'm sure that helped.
