First Look: CABLE AND X-FORCE #3

Marvel has released a first look at CABLE AND X-FORCE #3. It's a little odd since issue one won't be released until next week, December 12. Because of the bi-monthly schedule (hopefully this will die down a little to take some stress off our wallets), the third issue will be coming our way in January.

Take a look to see what happens in the third issue. I wouldn't say there are any spoilers apart from what's already been revealed in interviews and the previews for the first two issues.

has there been any explanation as to why cable has an eye patch? and man does rogue look hot!

I like the art but I think I'll probably give this series a miss.

I'm looking forward to it, love me some Cable. And if you're going to invest in 100+ ongoing series you might as well just invest in them all. So I'm a lost cause.

Not a huge fan of Cabel's over sized left arm back scratcher, although it would be useful for getting the remote when it falls in between the couch and the wall lol. Salvador Larroca's art is so clean.

Love Larocca'a art, and I've always been a fan of Forge.

I think the eye patch is because when hope cured him of the t-o virus it didn't fix the ravaged parts thus he has lost an eye and is using cybernetics to replace 1arm

Maybe, I'll see, also what's up with havoks hood, it looks like they inverted the blue and white portions

I'm glad they made the team at odds. These books are lined up so that people with opposing ideals will just buy the different books. Cable vs Uncanny. Something about Uncanny's characters and the way they have been written is unappealing to me.

is anyone else starting to not like Havok? he's become a bit of a preachy douche. it's easy to call people out on the decisions they made under pressure, but considering he wasn't there and didn't have to make the tough decisions i think he should shut his mouth.

where was he during the House of M? where was he during the Messiah Complex? Messiah War? Necrosha? 2nd Coming?

I assume it's the same reason he needs a robotic sling for his left arm due to the techno organic virus being purged from his body.

I agree with this fully... Havok is just being an angry little brother

tbh if he had to make have the decisions cyke had to make he wouldnt even be the way he is now

@dondave: Naw magik took them away... but since the phoenix fives powers where altered be the phoenix its possible his powers different we have to see

Dude he was fighting a war on the scale that no one else has ever had to.

Hell, he fought in two such wars, Mutant X and War of Kings. He's made massive decision before. They're all dealing with crap on earth and Havok is up there dealing with the fates of galaxies.

But he's a Summer's they're either douches or fascists.

when he was cured by hope, both his arms are fine. and it was his left eye that suffered from the T/O virus. i think its just laziness from the creative team. this could have been a great opportunity to have cable as an active powerhouse kickin butt all over the MU.

I won't be picking this up but that art is beautiful. I wish they would put Larroca on a book I was interested in for once.

From the cover it looks like cable uses a weird robot hand thing even that is not a replacement. so what's up with that?

@Solomonwreath: Since Hope got rid of the TO virus he needs to use the robot arm as a sling until he builds strength up in the arm.

And Cable would never get Hope into trouble. Besides, she's more than capable of getting herself into trouble.

None of the characters on this team interest me at all, so I think I'll just skip it.

Art is weird in my opinion. I don't like Cable's look either, he looks like a cyborg pirate. I preferred his grungy post-apocolyptic look, not new and shiny look.

I cannot wait to see how this series turns out. So far it looks promising to me.

This! It is really strange, its almost as if I am not allowed to like both Summers brothers at the time. WAY back when Cyclops was in X-factor I couldn't stand him and really dug Havok in Uncanny. Now I think Cyclops is one of my favorite Marvel characters and I find Havok to be a self righteous prick hanging out with the other self righteous pricks "The Avengers". Maybe someday they will both be cool characters at the same time.

I have a bizarre relationship with Dennis Hopeless. I'm pretty much condemning him for Avengers Arena (a book I have NO hope for) but at the same time I'm looking forward to this book which looks like it has alot of potential. I'm confused
