Penny for your thoughts on this battle? Since he is the anime/manga character in this battle, here is Muscular's first (and so far, only) showings in battle for anyone interested in this battle.

Muscular didn't seem that fast or agile as whole, Spidey would just dance around him, add to that Spidey sense, and well he ain't touching Peter.

I think Spidey is strong enough (he has decent feats for that) to give him decent damage overall, sure it would take time, but his strength backed up by his vastly superior fighting skills, agility and battle smarts assure his victory moreso, and then we of course have the web shooters which would play great role here as well.

Muscular wins,I can't imagine Peter hurting someone who can tank Deku's 100% smashes with ease. And I doubt a webbing incap would work.

this is basically Spider-Man vs Grey Hulk.....not sure if it's a stalemate or a loss for either

Spiderman has pretty good super strength so even if his attacks arent as powerful as dekus. He can still do something at least. Plus add his sense and what he can do with his webs. I can see spiderman winning through other means beside strength.

Spidey, Peter is too fast and has the strength to constantly hurt Muscular

Stomp? Please. He may pull out a win or two, but Spidey takes the solid majority of victories.

How fast is muscular in particular

@moistchoice: he's pretty fast, he got dodged by 5% full cowling Deku but increased his strength and speed by powering up. I'd say he's the same speed as 10% full cowling Deku ... Although he got blitzed by Deku later on in the manga....still, not exactly faster than Spider-Man.

Though tbh, Spider-Man got tagged by Rhino, The Thing, Hercules, Juggernaut and Hulk so I'm sure Muscular can land a few hits.... He just won't KO Spider-Man for that very reason, everyone Spider-Man has fought is stronger than him. Should be a close fight though.

@ronan6996: Even if it were true, the MHA characters haven't shown that much speed so far, and realistically Spidey is so much faster and more agile than Muscular, he could dance around him. Not to mention that Peter has much more strength than he seems, He has done things like lift a good chunk of the Daily Bugle, or that time he wrecked a tank without any problem or real physical effort.

@crapser: random encounter in character means Peter isnt using his upper limits and will likely play around...how many times has he gotten tagged like that?

@ancient_0f_days: you're right, Peter probably gets tagged on given his personality, but, Muscular is not capable of killing him in one hit, considering that he has endured people like Venom or Rhino, who are explicitly stronger than him. Still, if Spidey gets to sense the amount of danger Muscular has with his Spider Sense, he could get serious right from the start, or after the first hit.

@crapser: I agree, but it is one of those fights where he has to go all out from the start, on the same note Muscular wont go all out instantly either. He only powers up when he knows he has a challenge and once he does, he will be as fast as he is strong. The more effort Peter puts in, the more speed and power Muscular puts out.

@ronan6996: Well, although I do not think so, Muscular can arguably win, but I do not remember any feat of speed that reaches the levels of Spidey

But this is in character,a bloodlusted Peter would be scary in the mha verse.

Doesn't seem like Peter has the means to consistently damage Muscular.

Muscular was able to take more than one 100% smash from Deku, and then a concentrated ultimate move from Yo Shindo, which essentially is a small earthquake, but in this case, it's exclusively focused on Muscular's body.
