Poll Ben Kenobi vs Count Dooku (127 votes)
Ben as of ANH, Dooku as of ROTS.
Who wins?
Ben as of ANH, Dooku as of ROTS.
Who wins?
Dooku probably wins still.
Every time they fought as far as I remember, it didn't end well for Obi wan.
Old Ben might win in canon.
I take this back Obi-Wan is still past his prime in canon.
Dooku was one of the strongest force users during the clone wars and beat prime Obi-Wan multiple times, so I'd say he could handle an older version of him quite well, seeing as Obi-Wan's skills probably didn't improve from ROTS to Rebels/ANH. Don't get me wrong, Ben Kenobi, as stated by Sam Witwer, was a jedi on active duty and always got huge amp when someone was a threat to Luke, so he was definitely capable of engaging in a real fight, though it would not end well against Dooku, who defeated a far stronger version of him more than once.

I favor Ben here
Yeah, if he can match Vader, who is at that point quite a bit more powerful than the version that beat Dooku, Kenobi should win.

The same could be said with his fights against Maul during the CW, but he ended up three shotting him in Rebels. Add that with how he stalemated Vader until he decided to give up, Kenobi should have a very good chance of winning this.

Reasons stated above on why I disagree. And Ben Kenobi is likely prime Kenobi now, at least in the force and in skill. ROTS Kenobi is probably physically superior with better stamina, but he lost to Dooku due to the force, he honestly would have beat Dooku in a pure duel based off of feats.
@crater_maker: He didnt keep up practice.
OT: Canon Kenobi loses in a close fight. Dooku should win 5.5-6/10
Ben Kenobi is actually a post-prime Kenobi, even in canon.
"This duel was very different from their last. Obi-Wan was older andweaker while Vader was even stronger, fueled by hatred and thrist for revenge." — Jedi vs Sith (2016 edition).
"As the Rebels escape, Ben and Vader are locked in an epic clash of the force! Though they are now both older anddamaged compared to their former selves, it is still a sight to behold! Luke can do nothing but stare in awe." — Adventures: The Daring escape!
“A generation later, Obi-Wan Kenobi would face Darth Vader once again. While Vader wanted revenge, Obi-Wan was focused on buying time for his friends— including Luke Skywalker. Their duel was careful and measured compared to their previous meeting. Obi-Wan's movements were slowed by age and lack of practice; Darth Vader— recalling the grievous injuries he suffered during their last encounter— fought his former Master with apprehension, while his cybernetic body reduced his actions. Ultimately, Obi-Wan deliberately dropped his defenses, and Darth Vader cut through him, but the Jedi Master mysteriously vanished into the Force.” — Star Wars Lightsabers: A Guide to Weapons of the Force (2018 edition).
Old Ben is inferior than his younger self as a whole. With that being said, Dooku wins.
@yousufkhan1212: Weird how Vader who's stronger in canon couldn't dispose of him quickly in ANH.
@firelordiroh: ANH Vader is stronger in the Force, but is slower and less mobile than his former self.
What is this thread?
Ben Kenobi < ROTS Kenobi and ROTS Obi Wan has his force wall broken by Dooku and gets ragdolled the moment the Count gets Anakin off of him for a moment.
Dooku even more easily than before.

This too.
Ben matching a pre-prime Vader doesn't place him anywhere near Dooku. Vader a little while before was struggling against Ahsoka, who in turn matches Rebels Maul, who is inferior to TCW Maul, who was nothing to Sidious. Meanwhile Dooku is an established peer of Yoda.
Ben Kenobi didn't drastically change his dueling style.
Dooku's style still hard counters him like Scissors counters Paper.

@lord_tenebrous: Indeed. He is still capable of fending off two much more physically able combatants with one hand behind his back though. Such finesse for an elderly gentleman such as himself.
Darth Tyranus wins most likely.
He fought and defeated a better version of Obi Wan while his attention was divided with Anakin.
The first was Star Wars Annuals, 2015.
The other was a comic from canon.
He winded himself climbing some hills and rocks..
He's worse as a fighter skillwise and inferior physically to ROTS Obi Wan, who Dooku handled just fine.
His force powers seem to have improved, so he might not get bullied in the force but that's about it.

Canon: Kenobi.
Legends: Dooku handily.
Just curious, what do you make of post 32?
ben might get more wiser and stronger with the force as a whole ,
but his focus was more on esoteric techniques , and not offensive force powers .
so he did not actually learn anything new that would be useful to him in combat .
perhaps he got strong enough not to get ragdolled at the start of a fight but that´s about it .
he is also out of practice and past his fighting prime .
dooku wins .
Dooku wins both rounds, he stomps in Legends given Ben Kenobi is implied to be below ESB Luke per Vader.
As for canon, it's definitely a lot closer but I would still side Dooku. I'm pretty sure canon has gone with the idea that Kenobi's skill decreased after ROTS. This is even cemented by Matt Martin (Lucasfilm storygroup)
"If you’re asking if I think ANH Obi-Wan could beat RotS Obi-Wan in a fight: no, I’d bet on RotS"
And we all know what Dooku can do to a much younger Kenobi
so if anything, I believe Ben's stronger abilities in the force is what would help him not get exploited by Dooku, as a pure duelist he is outclassed though.

They both die of exhaustion.
@lord_tenebrous: Dooku is fodder compared to Vader.

Now, what leads you to that conclusion?
