Batman (Nolan) vs Jack Reacher

Set Up

Batman gets word that Reacher is taking down criminals in his city...and The Batman is the only name the criminals can fear in Gotham, so Batman decides to take him down. Batman catches Reacher in an empty car lot and they begin to face off.

Even the movie version of Jack Reacher seemed more skilled than Nolanverse Batman.

Going with us jack teacher. he seemed realistically extra skilled where batman is realistic but now impressive because of his slowness and robotic movements.

Wow Nolan Bats is underrated. Batman is the one pursuing Reacher, he's in his suit, has standard equipment, and tie-in feats are allowed? Unless there are some book feats that put Jack at a much higher level than what I saw in the film, Bruce wins easily.

All Jack did was beat up a few goons Nolan Batman took on ninjas and a room full of SWAT and Joker thugs. I don't know about book feats though.

Who were are pretty much featless like the ppl Jack Reacher fought..

With Stand Gear & his suit I say Batman wins. H2H or no suit Jack wins.

I'm not familiar with Reacher's book feats, but unless he's somehow a better marksman than Deadshot he gets beaten down pretty quickly.

Just strictly movie versions Batman is more impressive.

LOA have no feats but losing to Batman / Bane only feat is beating & then losing to an old fresh outta retirement Bruce & the SWAT is definitely featless.

@uugieboogie: so is Jack but for the sack of argument lets say the movie versions are both feat-less Batman Gotham Knight isn't he beat killer crock and dodged dead shots gunfire he also tanked a lot of bullets and in one episode created a force field that made gunfire bounce off him.

And for the record Bane feats in the dark knight rises are: defeating the entire prison of the worlds deadliest criminals to protect a little girl and smashing a brick wall like it was nothing. He also might have been able to win there rematch if his mask wasn't in the way. And SWAT are extremely highly trained and just one of them could have probably hold his own against Reacher.

The the only way... If you read my post I said Bruce wins. Ppl tend to over exaggerate the Nolanverse characters.

@uugieboogie: I know you said he wins but you said he only wins with gear. I think Nolan Batman could win in h2h. And I wasn't saying that in the dark knight trilogy he did that I'm saying in Gotham Knight he did that.

Batman, I don't remember Jack doing anything extraordinary in the movie.

Nolan Batman would annihilate movie Reacher. I'm only on the third Reacher book but I would probably still give it to Nolan Batman if the consistency of his feats holds true for the next novels.

Jack Reacher wasn't impressive enough because he wasn't in a Batsuit.

He wasn't impressive enough because he didn't take out multiple Ninjas armed with swords, mercenaries armed with assault rifles, twelve men in twenty one seconds, Ra's Al Ghul, a SWAT team, or because he didn't fight evenly with someone of Bane's calibre, or because he doesn't have the superhuman physicals Nolan Bats has.

Although the batsuit only makes matters worse..

Without the Batsuit id consider this much closer because Jack is a pretty good fighter but I agree 100% with you

In terms of sheer skill there isn't a huge gap.. but Baleman was just pulling off feats of speed and power that were off the charts for someone like Reacher.

@i_like_swords: lol it's cool, but yeah Bale needed that high skillset that Batman needs to bring to the field and has shown in each of his movies. Jack was awesome but yeah he wouldnt be able to contend with much that Batman has to offer. Especially with gear and equipment

Mr. Reacher is a decent combatant with good training, and he has some nice weapons to help him out, but Nolanverse Batman is too much for Jack to overcome, I think. He has Gotham Knight feats, so he can dodge anything Jack shoots at him, as he was able to dodge Deadshot's bullets. He was strong enough to take out Killer Croc, multiple ninja, and a bunch of mercs with guns. He was fast enough and skilled enough to take out an entire swat unit. He also has the batsuit's armor and the belts toys. It just seems that anything Mr. Reacher could do (judging solely by the movie, I haven't read the books), Bruce could do better. I might be wrong, but I think Nolanverse Batman wins a solid majority. 8/10 Batman's favor.

Just based on the film, Batman curbs.

This is silly. He had the same fighting style as Batman which was Keysi --- Batman just beat better opponents.

He also has Gotham Knight feats due to OP which make it a slaughter.

Haven't seen Gotham Knights but the videos above show pretty clearly that Batman has a vast edge.
