    Belgian comic, published in the French language. Barbe-Rouge, as a comic character, was created by writer Jean-Michel Charlier and artist Victor Hubinon, and debuted in the French magazine Pilote beginning in 1959 before being collected and re-released as graphic novels in 1961. The series ran for 35 issues until 2004 and was officially canceled by Dargaud in 2006 deemed not to be appealing to young readers anymore.
