A super villain science summit, and Atlantean action.... 1

What more can you ask for in a FF title? Not much, in my opinion. The bulk of the action in this issue revolves around Susan, Spidey, and Alex Power going to Atlantis to investigate some a part of the plot of the Reeds to take over(destroy?) this universe. But the real meat of this issue stems from Reed, Valeria, Nathaniel, Doom and the villains debating on how best to stop them under the careful eye of The Watcher. This book is SERIOUSLY turning me on to some old Fantastic Four villains I never...

A bunch of scientific geniuses walk into a bar and... 4

You know an issue is serious when Reed Richards brings Doctor Doom in for a consult. However, can Doom, Richards and the rest of the Marvel Universe's scientific minds outsmart three evil Reeds? The GoodHoo boy, do I ever love mad scientists. In this issue Reed Richards has managed to assemble some of the greatest scientific minds in the Marvel Universe into one room, and the results are actually quite hilarious. Seeing the Mad Thinker enter into a "what if he knows we know?" paradox with himself...

    One BIG Family 2

The Good: 2 FF issues in one month!I rather enjoyed the new art. It was more sharp and defined than the previous artist, but overall it was pretty good.I really enjoyed the conversation between Spider-Man and Sue Storm. She just exudes this air of maturity, more so than a LOT of superheroes, and it makes her interesting, Meanwhile Spider-Man is the epitome of childish instincts in a super hero. But he's not exactly immature himself, he's just a goofball. And that's why we all love Spider-Man.I'm...

    Two Down...Two to Go 0

Doom's symposium begins in proper and the War of The Four Cities sees its first skirmish.   The Good I've got some good news and some bad news. The bad news is Steve Epting's not doing the pencils this issue. The Good news,  Barry Kitson is!!! Steve's probably my favorite artist to have ever drawn a FF run, but Barry really gives him a run for his money here.  The moment with Sue and Spidey that open the issue are really nice and give the book that family feel. Spidey acts Sue if she's worried a...

Better than the last one 0

As I mentioned before, I jumped in at issue 3 so I was a bit lost.  This one does a lot to help fix that.  The art continues to be great and the writing/dialog are pretty good.  Although I feel it's a shame having Spidey there if he can't verbally tussle with someone else.  I know he and Johnny used to go at it, but Johnny's not around.  Still, Ben used to be good for some quips.  Instead he's just moping around in this issue.  My only complaint with this issue is that there wasn't much going on...

Atlantis will be the first to fall 0

This is a great balance of action, tension, humor and big decisions and the way that Hickman harmonizes all these conflictuous feelings is very interesting, in doing so he doesn´t allow a feeling to dominate the story, showing that there are multiple paths to be chosen in the story, especially when you consider the type of characters involved - the logic and pattern of thinking that Hickman imprinted in Valeria and into this story is amazing: what else anyone do if the remaining group of the Cou...

Recommended! It takes a while, but we have the glint of action on the horizon. It is nothing like what the cover would have you believe, but there is some action at the end, nonetheless. Be warned, it is the end you have to wait for, if you are looking for the action, as this book starts out in the kitchen. Crust or no crust, is the question - Spidey decides he will shake things up this time and go sans-crust. As a whole, we learn far too much about sandwich preferences.Elsewhere, the meeting of ...
