A Picture says a thousand words

    Cover

I love the cover and I think it is one of those things you can take in a different perspective. My perspective of the cover is the back picture of the whole team is in the past that is the reason it is in the background. Then the reason we have Sue, Ben, and Reed all crying and sad because of Johnny’s death and they know they have to move on.

    Story

The story was all about the team reacting to Johnny’s death.

    Best Part

I really like how they told the story with art and not with words. As the old saying goes a picture says a thousand words. With each panel I think you can really appreciate it more and really tells the story better because you seeing the emotion of all the characters and really paying attention to the emotion. We see emotion through the gestures people make and not all the time what people say. So, it was perfect for this issue just to see all the gestures and let us really pay attention to it.

    Worst Part

Even though I really liked that it was all art I felt that it went by too quickly without the words. You also wonder what all your characters would have said at the funeral. I also would have liked a eulogy to hear all the accomplishments of what Johnny did. This issue was more about the rest of the team and not really Johnny and how much he had accomplished in his life. This was kind of upsetting.

    Art

The art I thought really captured the emotion everyone and it is really hard to just tell a story with art and not with words so I give props to the artist who drew this issue.

    Pick it up or not

The final issue of the Fantastic Four. Can it top the previous issue now that we know who died?  The Good This issue was amazing. My goodness. I read it in the cab on the way back from the comic shop and was blown away. By now, you should know that Johnny died. You can probably guess what this issue will deal with. It doesn't matter, you won't be prepared. Jonathan Hickman superbly tells the sad story of everyone dealing with the death of Johnny. The way it's presented here simply works (I won't...

So. Here we are. The final issue of the Fantastic Four. Is it at least good? Spoilers ahead.  Oh yeah. To be honest, I actually don't care for the art of the main story so much. Epting took the month off and we got Nick Dragotta instead. I am not too familiar with his style. But then after going through the story, it seems to fit the issue well. The facial expressions really tell the tale and get you feeling what the character is going through. Dragotta and Hickman sure paired well here.   I do ...
