Okay, so I run a roleplay account on Instagram for deadpool and i'm in the middle of writing a short story, so I decided to go looking more into Deadpool's life pre-cancer and on the "official" marvel.com character page for him it says he was once married to a "Gretchen Wilson"? I blew it off as a mistake considering those pages haven't been touched since april of '07, but it also says he was once married to a Gretchen Wilson pretty much everywhere else. There's no evidence towards the existence of this woman in his immediate timeline from beginning to end so far. Could someone tell me who she is? Was she mentioned only slightly or something? It's rackin my brain, guys.

I thought Gretchen Wilson was a washed up country singer.

I don't know anything about Gretchen Wilson, but I do know he was once married by Mercedes Wilson....well it was either him or T-Ray.....whoever is the real Wade Wilson.

Gretchen was Wade's first (ex)wife, an image of her can be seen in the mini "Identity Disc" where he joins a team of super villain to infiltrate aim. It is issue 3 or 4 that has a recap each villain is forced to join and DP is hoping to find her location.

Was the Identity Disc part of canon?

Cause if so, there are enough continuity errors in that series that you could write a book about it.
