So here is the problem with this thread. The only way any character can beat Batman is if he wasn't ready for them, meaning they would have to instigate the attack, and come out of no where.

Now I am going to get a lot of flack for this but just like if your favorite superhero was GL or Superman I honestly believe that Batman can beat ANY character out there (including SS4 Goku) if Batman attacked first.

I don't however believe Batman is all knowing, so if Galactus showed up to DCnU without announcing himself (which he has an awful tendency to do), And took out Batman right away, then yes Batman would lose. But you are saying you are giving Batman prep time. Which puts Batman at the advantage because well, he was prepared for them. And lets not forget Batman utilizes all his resources when it comes to prep, including other heros.

Ok why is Batman the only one with who can beat topic on boards how come there never is who can beat Deathstroke (seriously fans make him sound more unbeatable then Batman) or who can beat Superman under a yellow sun or who can beat Martian Man-hunter without using fire (I don't read Stormwatch all i know about man-hunter is from shows like JL and JLU and Young Justice), I'm a little surprised there isn't who can beat Flash because with all his powers he sound unbeatable. Many can beat Batman. Throughout the comic panels he's constantly getting beaten, badly. Afterall he's not superpowered and can be harmed easily. But in the end, he always gets the final win. With preperation, he can beat most characters. The only people he really can't defeat with preperation is characters with almost god-like strength, that have no weaknesses. "Beat" can mean a lot of things. The Joker could be included in this list-the pain inflicted on Batman over the years could lead him into a "winning" postion.

He has beaten Darkseid before though, so he shouldn't be here. I'm pretty sure the only person he can't beat with prep is Dr. Manhattan. He could use the Mother box and Boom Tube too. With Dr. Manhattan, he could just talk to him and reason wit him. Therefore, Batman would win the "fight"

With or without plot... He can beat anyone with prep... DC has already stated this... In a comic, he would find a way. I am sure that there are characters DC would not target, just because they know people would be like PIS... but still... Phantom Stranger is a good one, but I think Bruce could get him to sabatage himself somehow.  With Prep Batman can use his Contacts correct?

Batman can beat anyone with prep. It's comics, if that's why the plot call for then that's what happens. That's kinda why I don't like the term PIS. EVERYTHING a character does is for the plot, but when it gets to be a little ridiculous or too unbelievable people call it PIS. It's a comic, the whole thing is PIS
