As the first Robin, Dick Grayson was the most famous sidekick in comic book history. As he ventured forth on his own, he formed the Teen Titans and became their leader. When the boy became a man, he became the independent hero known as Nightwing.

Formerly the D.A. of Gotham City, Harvey Dent was an ally of Batman and Commissioner Gordon until he had acid thrown onto the left side of his face by a mob boss, scarring him for life. The incident drove Harvey insane and he became Two-Face, obsessed with chance and always carrying a double-headed coin, which he flips to determine his every decision.
Alfred Pennyworth is Bruce Wayne's loyal father figure and butler. Alfred raised Bruce (and later Dick Grayson) after the death of the Waynes. A former British secret agent, Alfred is a skilled surgeon who often treats members of the Bat-Family.
Jason Todd was the second Robin, until he was brutally murdered by the Joker. After he was resurrected, Jason learned Batman didn't avenge his death. Anguished and seeking vengeance, he initially turned against his mentor and father figure and took on the Clown Prince's former identity: the Red Hood. He eventually returned to the Bat-Family and assembled a team of anti-heroes known as the Outlaws.
Vicki is a reporter for the Gotham Gazette, whose job it is to report on the Batman. She was frequently romantically attracted to Batman (and Bruce Wayne on occasion), and repeatedly suspected they were the same person. She eventually proved this hypothesis in the Bruce Wayne: Road Home story.
Dr. Jason Woodrue is the Floronic Man, a plant/human hybrid and super-villain who wishes to eradicate all animal life. In some versions, he is responsible for the creation of Poison Ivy. He is an enemy of The Atom and Swamp Thing.
Camilla Ortin is a girl who commits crimes dressed as a mime. She seldom speaks, which leads people to think she is mute.
Ma Gunn operates a school in Crime Alley for young boys that is really a front for training criminals.
Sal Maroni (originally named Vincent Moroni) is the mobster who's known for scarring Harvey Dent which transformed him into Two-Face.

The youngest detective in Gotham City to be promoted out of uniform, Tommy Carma was too eager of a detective that had many a criminal walk due to police brutality charges and led to his badge being taken away. Looking up to Batman and eventually convincing himself that he was the Dark Knight, he dressed as him and murdered criminals that got off on legal loopholes, which set him on a collision course with the very man he looked up to.
