Comic Vine Question of the Week RESULTS: Favorite Marvel Studios Movie

And Comic Vine's #1 Marvel Studios movie is...

Marvel Studios made one hell of a debut with Iron Man back in 2008 and the studio has since released 8 more movies. Last week saw the debut of Captain America: The Winter Soldier (here in the U.S., that is), and we here at Comic Vine couldn't help but wonder which movie the site's crowd loves the most. More than 300 Viners voted and the race wasn't close. Like, at all. Only 3 projects earned more than 10% and there's a moderate gap between each of those, too. So, which movie stood confidently over its competition? According to the voters, the latest also happens to be the greatest! Anthony and Joe Russo's Captain America: The Winter Soldier wins!

Not only did Steve Rogers' sequel establish a plot that'll have a major impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe's future, but it also aimed to give the core characters more depth. We saw more of Rogers dealing with the modern era and its policies, Black Widow was more humanizing, and characters like Nick Fury and Falcon were given a fair amount of attention. They managed to strike a good balance with the tone as well. Just enough humor was sprinkled in to offer some big laughs yet it never drowned out the more serious demeanor of the story.

This was without question the best display of hand-to-hand fighting we've yet to see in a Marvel Studios movie and watching the super-soldier unleash was simply awesome. It's also worth noting that our very own Tony "G-Man" Guerrero gave the movie a 5-star review. Lastly, Anthony and Joe Russo will work on the 3rd Cap movie, so it's safe to assume we'll see some proper follow-up on this film's big developments!

Check out the poll results below. Comic Viners, Thor isn't very pleased...

Viner Post for Captain America: The Winter Soldier is by War Killer

"The movie had a great balance of plot and action, giving all of the characters a time to shine and allowing the story to breathe, while still weaving some epic action scenes into it perfectly. The storyline itself also felt like it mattered, not only giving you an idea of how big of a threat Cap was facing, but even after the threat was defeated you could feel the impact it would have on not only the characters, but the entire Marvel Universe."

Viner Post for The Avengers is by Lvenger

"The Avengers was an exceptionally groundbreaking and amazingly well put together film even with its flaws. So that edges it out for me over The Winter Soldier just about."
