I know that power girl is supposed to be supergirl (kara) from Earth-2, so why is her body so much more muscular then supergirls?
Was it ever explained why?
Power Girl
Character » Power Girl appears in 1731 issues.
Kara Zor-L is the older, wiser, and stronger counterpart of Supergirl from Earth 2 but resides on the Prime Earth.
powergirl's body.
I'm not too sure if it has been explained or not, but if it hasn't I can see why some artists would draw Power Girl with more muscles because of her personality. She's pretty loud and angry. I think her body's meant to compliment her personality. And since you asked, here's my favourite drawing of her:
"i thought it was because this is kara as a mature woman. thus bigger and stronger
"
that's what i was thinking...it's because she's older

I thorght they were around about the same age, you know, power-"girl", super-"girl". Guess i was wrong.
Oh and to ms. Invisible, thanks for the awesome picture!! :)

that`s you favorite funny? this one is mine
"Her boobs are like Superman's abilities; they've grown bigger in time."She could kill a man with those things.
"I was wondering how big of a super bra she would need?"I say maybe a "L" cup if there 12 inches.
Ive always wondered that myself. I think the artists wanted to give the clone something extra special and it just stuck.
Maybe as supergirl grew up she decided to lift weights to get as strong as superman as Clark was getting older in their dimension and she knows she'll eventually have to replace him as the strongest hero on earth. lol
Lastly I really like the way they drew power girl she's totally better looking than supergirl in all areas.
"did you see the Terra limited series where she and Terra become buddy-buddy?LMFAO !
I had to take breaks from reading it for "private happy time""

disagree i think i still like supergirls better. pg's chest is nice but i think i like supergirl. maybe if pg would put super girls costume on that would look best
"How can her breasts possibly be fake? How could anyone possibly cut her and then give her implants that he super healing would not reject?"Really? C'mon just enjoy.
Well, I think it was Ross who first drew her with a more substantial muscular definition. Other artists just took it from there. I suppose he wanted to put the 'Power' back in Power Girl. Compare that with adjectives like Wonder or Marvel, both of which could easily describe any number of features of a female superhero be they looks, personality, or powers. But power? There's only one direction to go with that.
"Threads like this is the reason people call all comic readers nerds."That's right you nerds! Comics are SERIOUS BIZNESS!!! We can't have guys ogling a character that is specifically designed to be ogled...

"Alexander Anderson said:Howsit any different from ogling girls in Maxim, etc.? In a sense they are no more real than these characters. They are airbrushed, touched up, essentially drawn over to be looked at, and though they do exist, you have no more hope of meeting them then you do power girl. So I say, as long as you are just enjoying the female form (like any normal guy), and leading a normal life, i.e. not obsessing, or whackin off to em, I think its ok to go, "Whoa, nice rack PG!" You know, all in good fun, etc. ; )"Vance Astro said:Yea...we can't have guys ogling women who aren't real.""Threads like this is the reason people call all comic readers nerds."That's right you nerds! Also, you know what? Who gives a $%!t if some people think comics are for nerds. Look around, look at pop culture today. Look what movies are kicking the most @$$ at the box office. THE WORLD IS COMING UP NERDS! You've got celebrities either confessing or pretending to be nerds now in order to, what, look cool? Hmmm....Maybe nerd isn't so synonymous with uncool anymore..... I posit nerd IS the new cool. (so there : P)
