i would say 2008 Don't mess with Zohan
What was the last good Sandler Movie ?
Sandler made good movies?
Click
Click
Personally, I started to lose interest in him after Big Daddy as far as comedic roles go. But now that people mention it, Click was pretty good.
@deronn_solo: have you seen Zohan?
@midnightdragon18: Bits and pieces of it, yes.
Funny People
Sandler made good movies?
Zohan was the last Sandler movie where I actually laughed. The Hotel Transylvania movies are okay, but only okay. Both have cloyingly sappy endings. Hotel 2's end pissed on everything the film was trying to teach. I was flabbergasted that they chose that finale. I liked the movie up until then, however I remembered it's a Sandler movie so of course it's going to disappoint the viewer. Zohan was not a good movie either and was pretty racist while preaching racial tolerance and accepting people's differences. There were a handful of good gags that made me laugh.
Click was pretty good. Chuck and Larry, and Funny People were decent. But those weren't exactly the typical solo films by Sandler.
Recently hmmm...
- Hotel Transylvania
- Funny People
- Bedtimes Stories
- I Know Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.
- Click
Every other Adam Sandler movie or Project after Click(besides the movies i named), have been complete awfully subpar horse sh**.
I think most are. But he was really great in his younger days.
Happy Gilmore is my favorite.
That one is my favorite too.
I'll go with Click as well. And that's ten years ago. It was awesome back in the late 90s. Billy Madison, Happy Gilmour, Waterboy. That's how I'll choose to remember him.
The Cobbler
A-are you serious? The Cobbler? The Cobbler? The Cobbler made me wanna take a fluffing drill to my skull.
grown ups
This can't be real life.
Grown Ups 2
THIS CAN'T BE REAL LIFE.
To actually answer the question though, I actually decided to take a look at Sandler's filmography to get as accurate an answer as possible, and boy, it's been some time since my mouth has filled with vomit this quickly.
While a couple movies on the list were acceptable, I didn't get to one that I found objectively passable since 2003's Anger Management. If I wanted to go for one that was actually truly good, however, I'd have to step back to 2002 and give my vote to the genuinely enjoyable Mr. Deeds.
@joygirl You Grown Ups was a good movie, Tho if you have a problem with it, We can duke it out.
