I have to admit at times catching the right atmosphere sucks and can be extremely awkward. I have no real issues with writing explicit scenes though and my characters are usually guys. I just have to tone it down for this site, when at times, I kind of hate that but implications will always be in my issues or I kind of soar through them, lol.

I don't think it is awkward because of the gender of the writer, for instance: James Patterson's "the Quickie" starts off with a bang and it's awesome. Check it out (its a novel, not a comic- but its worth reading.) I have to say I agree with the Impersonator. It depends on the character, as an example: if you were writing a young character... it'd be super strange but just making an "Aww" moment, isn't too bad as long as you don't make it overly corny or cheesy... I have found that movies and literature help a lot here. If you need ideas for a perfect balance, check a clip from a "chick flick" or even a drama or romance or even one of your favorite romances in general. Also, romance in comics and books really raise it because you see what's okay to describe or the perfect amount of emotions.

I've actually been thinking about it...I can't decide whether to do a DC crossover, or the SECRET LEGION idea....just throwing that out there, in case anyone has a prefrence to which one they'd rather see.

Hello everyone. I have a story that I've just posted inspired from the DC universe where all the heroes we know and love don't exist and never have. The heroes in this story are supposed to represent the real world we actually live in if meta-humans suddenly started to appear. I'd like to read anyone else's stories that are have OC's in the DC universe or in a universe they have completely made up. I love OC's since they're always new, if I want to read about Wonder Woman I'll pick up one of her actual comics. I'm not so much into Marvel but if you have what you consider a genuinely awesome Marvel OC stories let me know. I'd love to hear some feedback

Lately, I’ve been having the opposite of writer’s block…TOO MANY IDEAS. I can’t decide what to write. One idea I wanted to get down was the following: Basically it it’s DC: The Next Generation "After the mysterious death of superman, (Killed in his sleep…nobody knew how or why) most heroes either retired, or were killed. Many retired heroes had children, and never told them about their costumed adventures. Eventually, some of the children of the heroes learn about their parent’s past, and form a new era of the Justice League to find Superman’s murderer…what they find will change what they thought they knew about the heroes of yesteryear forever…." I’d love to hear what you think of this!

@primepower53: I thought you were going to write the Secret Legion. :P

Anyways, DC: The Next Generation sounds a great idea. I would love to see the mystery and suspense of who actually killed Superman. On that side of the note, it's up to you if you want to write this series or the Secret Legion. Or you could also write both at the same time. Whichever is fine with you, we're gladly to look forward in reading them. :)

I also understand that you have too many ideas, I had the same thing but I always try to limit myself from writing new series and just stick with the ones that I'm currently writing now. Since I have other things to do outside CV......and playing Call of Duty: MW3. :P

Impersonator: I like both ideas but I only have time to write one. I also got a third idea and I can't decide which of the three I like best! The third one would be a crossover where the villains of the DC universe mysteriously upgrade their powers/equiptment. Whole teams are killed by a single person. The villains are more powerful than ever. They strike and random times, and I was thinking there could be a climax where a bunch of the heroes loved ones could all recieve death threats on the same day. It's kind of a race against the clock. Find out who's making them more powerful, before they are exterminated themselves.
