Wonder Woman
Character » Wonder Woman appears in 8808 issues.
The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.
Ranking the Wonder Woman costumes
I honestly think that while the rest of the Costumes are Iconic and all, this is a great new look for Wondy. If they put the gauntlets on, and the W on the bust it'd be even better!
Looks like she has a lighsaber on her hip... that'd be a badass Clone Wars Jedi look haha.
#1 The Dodson costume - a great modernizing of the classic suit
#2 The Golden Age costume - I liked it best with the eagle's talons clutching the belt my favorite part are the button earrings, they say 1940's to me almost as much as her hairstyle
#3 The Pre-Crisis costume - dig the hot pants, the high heels, the golden eagle cups/ belt connection and the last depiction of the flat bottomed boomerang tiara
#4 A tie between the sexy CBS costume and utterly faithful ABC costume with capes
#4.5 The Perez Post Crisis costume - the silver bracelets, double point tiara and flat boots differentiate it from the rest
#5 the New 52 costume - I hated it at first and still hate the blue/black boots and ribbed for her pleasure top. All the gold but the lasso has been replaced with silver, the breastplate seems open to individual interpretation, because almost everyone draws it differently and there's an addition of a choker and armband to replace the missing earrings. It is growing on me though and I must admit it does look more contemporary than any of it's predecessors.
*This Top 5 excludes all armors and alternate or elseworlds costumes*
That white body suit is amazing. But truthfully, the way they drew her in it is one of the best in the history of the character. Every time they change her costume, they put some extra fire in her look, just in case. If the Diana in the white catsuit was drawn with the classic star spangled undies, then we'd have something. There's a reason she is so special in that costume. It makes her SEXIER than every other superhero in the UNIVERSE. And yet, she still looks powerful in it. The costume is unique and special. Any costume that diminishes Wonder Woman's sex appeal is a BAD COSTUME. Her super sexiness is part of her "super powers." That incredible, almost otherworldly beauty and sensuality comes with the territory. When they cover her up, its like covering up a classic work of art, which is a tragedy.

I totally agree!
It's funny, I started reading this thread from the beginning and forgot I posted in it. I was just thinking of what I wanted to say, when my post popped up. My opinions haven't changed after all this time, thanks for resurrecting them. :)
