The Story So Far

Swampy and Buddy enter the Rot together only to find that the deeper the go into the Rot the weaker and weaker Buddy gets. Swamp Things powers remain as long as he keeps his physical tether, a long branch, connected to the outside world. Unfortunately, Arcane is waiting for them in the Rot and severs the tether and reveals to them that it has been his plan all along for them to come to the Rot. He then returns them to Earth were they discover something shocking.

Hit

I love everything about this issue. I was expecting this big epic battle in the Rot, but instead we get a pretty good mind f*ck. The art was really great in this issue with some really cool panels. Arcane and his plan are super evil and just what you want in a villain. This crossover looks to have totally lived up to the hype. This is the first things that has made me stop thinking about the Dark Knight Rises for a few minutes.

Miss

My miss has nothing to with this issue. It's just the fact that I have to suffer through a month of zero issues to get to the next installment of this series.

Your Job

I can't recommend this book enough. Go get it and Animal Man and you will not be disappointed.

This is the second part to the crossover with Animal-man please go check out the Animal-man review as well.PlotThis issue starts off with Swamp-thing and Animal-man in the rot they are attacked by a group of Un-men they defeat them they find a tear in the rot that leads to a inner layer of it they go down the tear. While this is happening Abby Maxine and Ellen are being attacked by Rot monsters in the end the are defeated and Abby seals the Portal to the rot apart from where Swamp-things tether ...

THE GOOD: The penciler is Marco Rudy and he does a great job. He manages to keep the feeling from Animal Man but also have the Swamp Thing feeling as well. I really like the action that he has to draw here and the paneling is very clever and interesting in this book. I also like how much he puts into the panels he draws. The story is still a great part of this series. I really like seeing Animal Man and Swamp Thing really getting to work together. I also really like how Abby interacts with Maxin...
