Proper Japanese Title: スーパージャンプ
Though Super Jump is largely considered a seinen manga anthology, intended for more mature male audiences than Weekly Shonen Jump, it began in 1986 as a special issue of that magazine before launching properly in 1988. It would publish a number of sequels to popular Shonen Jump titles through its life and many of its major creators came from Weekly Shonen Jump. Unlike most other seinen which were published under the Young Jump brand, collections of Super Jump were instead printed under Jump Comics Deluxe.
Like, other successful magazines, it had its own special issue in time (Oh Super Jump) but in 2011, Shueisha decided to cancel Super Jump (and sister magazine, Business Jump) and launched Grand Jump (which became home to some of the more popular Super Jump titles).
