Magic clashes with reality when scientist Rosalyn Adams analyzes an antique witch's artifact being prepared for an museum's occult exhibition. Unlocked, the artifact unleashes a necromantic entity capable of warping the very fabric of reality. Harvesting victims, each kill strengthens the entity's corporeal form. Racing to stop the entity, Rosalyn tracks down the artifact's origins -- tracing it back to the small town of Blackroot... and resurrects the horrific tale of a demonic witchfinder.
