@crapser: This is the only page really that shows it, The fight continues on a single planet. That's what I mean by implication. There are no pages from this issue or the previous two that show the whole solar system. It is just in this spread. that is why most believe it is caused by these two, as opposed to it already being there.

There is also a "planetoid destruction" level feat within their next bout. Superman ruptures the core of warworld causing it to explode. Modern depictions of Warworld have it at nearly the size of the moon. It blew up and launched both combatants to Venus. They were still conscious and continued the fight.

@crapser: Not much evidence to suggest that they were already broken. The visual seems to imply that Superman and Mongul tore through the solar system.

@ancient_0f_days: Yeah I will give him the experience edge as he fought two highly trained combatants in that film.

Honestly, I think Leon might have the edge in stealth

@professorrespect: @ancient_0f_days: Oh. That was Rebirth Mongul I (Was). During the Truth arc, he rumbled with Supes and the U.P. beating the piss out of all of them as a One man Army.

In my opinion, based on feats, it's more like this:

  1. Mongul (Was)
  2. Mongul Jr
  3. New-52 Mongul
  4. Mongul Sr
  5. Mongul (Is)

@ancient_0f_days: I don't remember them saying or showing that he was an assassin. Just that he was one Viggo's top henchmen. That being said, he was still a highly skilled enemy, so that is one other good combat feat to mark on John's score card. I do believe that the men sent after John in his home were actual killers, but I doubt they were assassins like John.

It reminds me a bit of the hotel ambush at the end of The Professional. Well trained, but no match for Leon.

Without John's gear and feats from the sequels this is gonna be a much closer fight.

All are excellent marksmen and have decent hand to hand skills.

This is a tough one...
