Marasiah Fel Respect Thread [Updated]

"I will not allow you to kill another who has risen to my defense!"

Marasiah Fel is one of the more interesting characters in Legacy and hails from the Imperial Knights, a group of battle-ready Force users dedicated to protecting the Empire and its Emperor. She has a romantic relationship with the leader of the Imperial Knights Antares Draco but both of them are able to keep things completely professional between them. Marasiah almost takes the role of this era's Princess Leia, being that she's a princess, she's Force sensitive and learns how to harness and control the Force, and she's been raised to be a great diplomat. Shen then goes on to lead the Empire after her father's death in the Galactic Triumvirate.

This thread will be divided into the following categories:

  • Combat Ability
  • Force Powers
  • Speed

Combat Ability

Marasiah Fel is a fully fledged Imperial Knight:

At the same time, she (like her father) is a full-fledged Imperial Knight, and she has pledged her service to both her father and what she sees as the true Galactic Empire.

She [Marasiah] has recently completed her training as an Imperial Knight, and has been formally knighted.

Imperial Knights are said to be among the most talented Force-users in the galaxy:

"The Imperial Knights are among the most talented and dangerous Force-users in the galaxy. Skilled in combat, they train under the tutelage of their Imperial masters, learning all they need to know to defend Emperor Roan Fel against all those who would harm him. The Imperial Knights are skilled with both the lightsaber and with the Force, and make extensive use of combat armor, including their special cortosis gauntlets designed to stop lightsaber attacks. From the start of their training until they reach knighthood, the Imperial Knights learn how to use the Force to transform themselves into living weapons and shields."

Imperial Knights are every bit as skilled as the Jedi in both combat and the Force, and their training focuses more on combat than the training of a Jedi:

"Though their numbers are small, the Imperial Knights are fully trained Force-users, with all the skills and abilities of a Jedi."

"Despite opinions to the contrary, Imperial Knights are every bit as capable in the use of the Force as their Jedi counterparts, though their training has considerably more martial focus."

Imperial Knights employ similar tactics to Jedi in combat:

"Tactically, Imperial Knights are similar to Jedi. They work well together, using their lightsabers redirect blaster bolts against their foes until they can close to melee range.

Imperial Knights are trained in the same fighting styles as Jedi Knights and even developed two of their own fighting styles:

"Skilled in the art of lightsaber combat, the Imperial Knights use many of the same combat training techniques as the Jedi, and have learned to fight in many of the same lightsaber dueling styles. However, the Imperial Knights are also masters of two unique lightsaber combat forms that place greater emphasis on teamwork than one's individual prowess. The more aggressive style, known as praetoria vonil, focuses on moving quickly and striking hard. The more defensive style, known as praetoria ishu, emphasizes protecting one's allies to allow them to find openings in an opponent's defences."

Imperial Knights' training has them learning how to fight unarmed, in vehicles, and with the Force as much as they do with their lightsabers:

"The Imperial Knights devote as much attention to fighting barehanded, in vehicles, and with the Force as they do to fighting with lightsabers."

Source: Legacy Era Campaign Guide

Imperial Knights use gauntlets weaved with cortosis, and utilize them to short-circuit their opponents' lightsabers:

"Perhaps the most interesting affectation used by the Imperial Knights were gauntlets composed of cortosis weave, which would cause any lightsaber blade that came into contact with them to become dysfunctional."

Source: Threats of the Galaxy

When fighting other lightsaber-wielding Force-users, Imperial Knights attempt to use their cortosis gauntlets to deactivate their enemies' weapons for a few minutes."

Her Imperial Knight armor is meant to have her constantly prepared for combat no matter where she is:

"The Imperial Knights wear specially crafted armor that uses materials found in the armor of one of the greatest Imperial duelists of all time, Darth Vader. Where Vader's armor was built to intimidate as well as protect, the Imperial Knights wear armor that is purely functional. That, combined with their lightsabers and cortosis gauntlets, leaves them constantly prepared for combat no matter where they are."

While not having fully completed her Imperial Knight training, Sia holds off a Sith's attack then kicks Cade out of the way of another Sith's attack and strikes him down instead:

Sia was among the group of Jedi and Imperial Knights who successfully repelled a Sith attack on Agamar, despite being outnumbered:

Sia helped Imperial Knights Antares Draco and Ganner Krieg after they infiltrated the Sith Temple on Korriban and aided them as they fought their way out. She would do this even though she had been tortured and interrogated by Darth Havok for days without much water or food:

Marasiah was among the few Imperial Knights and Jedi who were able to hold off an army of Sith, staging a defense at the hidden Jedi Temple on Taivas. After facing and defeating dozens upon dozens of regular Sith Warriors as well as scores of stormtrooper squads and war-vehicles, Darth Krayt's Sith Troopers enter the fray in equal numbers. Sith Troopers have cybernetically augmented strength and speed, limitless stamina, resistance to wounds that would kill other beings (such as direct lightsaber strikes), and are skilled enough in combat to easily slay other Jedi and Sith, making this an incredible feat of skill and endurance on the part of anyone who survived this attack:

Despite leading from her command ship for the majority of the fight, Marasiah would join in on the monstrous fight between Imperial/Triumvirate forces battling against the remaining forces of the One Sith. She would engage and defeat Sith forces towards the end of the battle. Here's the parts of the battle where she is directly involved. To see the whole fight, click here.
