After the last words of his question escaped his lips, Franklin was caught off guard by the fact that his question wasn’t replied to by silence, or an act of aggression. No it was met with a river of tears that flowed along her. His eyes dropped to the floor, he didn’t want to see the women he loved cry for any reason other than joy, nor did he ever want her tears to fall from something he said or ask. But he need to know, and he had a feeling it involved that device somehow. "Franklin…I will be blunt you’ve put me in a difficult situation either I tell you what it is or I render you unconscious..though I man slightly leaning toward the latter at this point." As he heard her words his eyes jumped up to meet her. There was no under tone of joking or sarcasm in her voice nor was there a sign of playing on her face, he knew she was serious while she was holding the device. Which caused him to take a step back as she continued on.
"I’ve done many things that I regret Ronnin, some I am able to forget and others have long lasting consequences." Despite knowing that she was truly thinking of knocking him out, Ronnin went to tale a step forward to comfort her. Only to stop as she turned away for a moment wiping the tears from her face, he could tell she was trying to be strong as he voice trembled with each word that left her mouth. "I’ve been using this device for 9 months now….and..and I know you would not be try to figure out what it was. But it’s an image inducer. It can alter a person’s physical appearance." His head tilted slightly as one of his eye brows raised. He was slowly piecing the parts together like a jigsaw puzzle as the look of confusion never left his face. "And this masquerade needs to come to an end." He barely heard her say as he felt his finger slid through her hand, before she pressed a chain of buttons on the device and it became incased by a dim light.
He went to wrap his arms around her only to feel a stiff pressure upon his chest, and looked down to see her arms extended out pushing him away as more tears cascaded along her cheeks. Her voice and action seemed more frantic then form a moment ago as she said, "I’m sorry, I was scared alright! Scared of what he’d do what he’d think…what every one would think! They said it was impossible they said I couldn’t…but this proved them wrong…!" He figured by now that she was about to unload something that would change everything, though he had a clue of what she was about to say it didn’t change the impact that her words would carry. "He was dying, and I love him but I hated him! We were suppose to be enemies, we hated each other. He tried to kill me and I didn’t hold back. But I don’t know how…but something happened and we….we fell in love, it only short and in that time I gave myself over to my desires and out of all this came a child. When he died only then did I realize that somehow because of his genetics because of his power I was able to conceived off spring from him and me. When I found out I could have killed the child my better judgment told me to but I could not…it was mine and I would not murder my own flesh and blood. So I kept it found ways of hiding it hiding my pain."
Franklin found himself on the opposite side of the room as his eyes never left Laura, who was shuttered in the corner of his room. Her frame which just second ago was slim and tone had grew around the lower part of her torso. Her eyes looked more animalistic. His eyes widened in surprise and disbelief of all that she had been hiding from not just him but everyone else. Everything from the hundred of scars and wounds for her pervious battles that most just figured she healed form do her powers, to Laura coming full term and looking as though she was ready to give birth any moment. "Wow… This is a lot… I’ve never heard of clone being able to reproduce… could this mean you’re not a clone? Why could you not tell me soon, I could have helped… Why not tell William? More importantly why would you continue to go on countless mission after, mission… Though you say you couldn’t kill your own flesh and blood… you still put yourself though so much danger…"
He was confused and angered, he could be heard in his voice as his words lashed out. He didn’t know why they came out nor the tone in which they did. She was already scared and ashamed and he wasn’t making it any better. His head turned and he couldn’t bring his eyes to look at her. It was not for what she had done or why she done it. It was because of the way he was acting, it was childish and beneath him. His face still turned out of her eye sight he went to speak looking for the right words to apologize with for his outburst, only to be cut off by Talon. "I’ve been hiding the truth from every one because I was ashamed, I was afraid that Hunter would throw me out, for I have dishonored the Greystoke line." she cringing slightly. "But now I need you to put aside you feeling for I need you now! I’m going through the first stage of child birth and I…I need you to help me..help me please give birth to this child!" He slowly brought himself to turn his head back to see her bloodshot tear filled eyes as sat on the floor biting her lip, looking up at him as she made an request, "And…find Hunter, he needs to know the truth." He nodded before he began to sprint out his door only stop at the doorway, and looked back at her. "I’m sorry for my outburst just a second ago… It’s just too much to take in though it change how I feel but sit tight I’ll go and find Hunter just sit tight and try not let your water break G’B just broke the last mop…" he jokingly trying to bring a smile to her even if it was short one as he vanished from his door way on his way to hunt down the Hunter.
