Well, uh, it's been a while. Like 4 years since I last visited. Or 6 years since I last made a blog post. Kind of forgot about this place for a while, actually. But, hey, considering the undertaking I'm getting involved in I figured I might as well make this little update, in the event that any of 123 followers my profile says I have are still around or still even remember me. Now, if you do remember me, and you're still reading (which means you might actually care? Who knows), you might remember that I used to write comic fics here for a while. Mostly DC stuff. My most prominent one was my Rose Wilson fic, which explored an original story focusing on her following the pre-New 52 timeline as though that awful reboot had never happened.

Well, I was rereading some of it recently, and cringing the entire time, because oh boy was my writing terrible back then. At least, when compared to how my writing has since improved in the past 7 years. But I still loved the overall story, and still loved the characters, so what was I to do?

I mean, rewrite the whole damn thing, obviously. And when I say rewrite, I do mean reWRITE. This is not an edit, it's not a minor rework, it's being completely overhauled. While most of the story will remain similar, there are quite a few plot points I want to change, characters I want to change/add/remove, and overall I just want it to be written better. I'd say about 90% of what I previously wrote that isn't dialogue is near unusable and needs to be rewritten from scratch. So that's what I'm doing, turning this into something I can be a whole lot more proud of, and maybe something that might interest a few people. There are quite a few changes already through the first dozen or so chapters I've completed.

I'm actually quite motivated to do this, more motivated than I have been in almost any other writing project over the past 7 years. So, I shouldn't have to worry about running out of steam and never finishing it. Although, that motivation would be a whole lot more powerful if more people were reading and enjoying it, so there's that. But, where can you find this Rewrite, you might ask? Why, over on AO3, naturally. I'm posting it over there because it's a neater format, easier for me to keep track of and edit, and more people will probably see it. Also, so I can actually put in swears and stuff like that, which you can't on this site. But I still wanted to throw the lure out on here, just in case any of the people who still followed me were still around and wanted to check it out.
