For those of you that buy rice and beans in bulk to help with the grocery budget, how do you store it?
Amen!!!!! Awesome testimony. I am a recent cancer survivor stage IV lung cancer metastasized to brain and bone. Two years ago when I was diagnosed I was burning the candle at both ends a full time accountant and the accountant for my church. The diagnosis was unbelievable every thing changed in blink of an eye. I remember thinking of all the tithes and how I heard all my life it rebukes the devour. I remember crying out to God thinking Lord I thought I lived for you please redeem me please heal me. Then I went to the word of God and read Malachi 3:10 and the read about Hezekiah. 2.5 months later the doctors declared I was in remission. I am truly a walking miracle the tithe rebukes the devour. The name of the Lord is a strong tower and the righteous run to Him and are safe.
We aren't apart of a church but decided that we'd Tithe with giving. I'm mostly helping out a friend with basic needs like diapers and wipes. Her family are my only people right now. So a small little church I suppose. We are working on following Gods leading. And I'm hoping it more improves our marriage then our finances. We've been blessed with a lot already.
After listening to Dave for a while it had been on my heart to start tithing. I gave my first tithing to my church's food bank since they have helped me many times before. Days later my husband lost his job. It was tough but I had a calm that everything was going to be ok, especially since we were already working Dave's plan. We went into storm mode and told our church. The blessings we got in our time of need were many. I could feel being prayed for. Then a donation was mailed to us in the amount of 10x my tithing. My husband now has a much better job and we are doing a lot better than before.
My husband and I were married while we were finishing our undergraduate degrees. At the end of our first year, we were broke and my husband hadn’t found summer employment yet. After paying our bills we had enough for food or our tithing. We decided to pay our tithing which left us $27 for food for two weeks. We carefully inventoried our cupboards and planned our food and went to the grocery store. Then the blessings started pouring in. Our food multiplied. People invited us for dinners and my husband was offered a job that was beyond what we could have asked for which allowed us to avoid student loans for tuition. We saw and felt the blessings. Oh how our lives have been blessed for being full tithe payers.
