Hope to catch some episodes later on, but I'm really looking forward to Earth's Mightiest Heroes a lot more. Looks like Spidey will be there anyways...
I love Doom but sometimes I have to wonder if he's tendency to actually have godlike abilities and then promptly lose them diminishes him as a true threat. It comes to the point where he's really just a nuisance and merely one of the many other villians. I hope he can maintain this IG long enough to do something truly memorable and unique.
I heard there weren't even any alternate timelines concurrent to one another until Alan Moore's Capt Britain. Is that true? To me it is more meaningful if there are as few timelines/realities as possible. That way if one is truly destroyed then it has more impact to the readers who can feel for those characters. There needs to be a Crisis on Infinite Earths for Marvel!
I think on a personal level they should forgive her, but quite frankly they (especially Capt America) should also turn her in to the authorities for them to decide. Heroes don't have the authority to pardon crimes and it's hard to imagine a President would be able to ... too much political backlash. It may suck for them as they are her friends, but they have a duty to USA and the world first. Either way the writers should bring that up and not leave arrest and trial possibility unmentioned. They'll prob just handwave it away via Nick Fury pulling a favor anyways....
I'm kinda on the fence on this one. There are many villains and if they are good then they'll be memorable as well. But for a rivalry, an archnemesis, to be truly effective I think there can only be one. Some heroes have so many "archvillains" I think the field gets a little bit clustered and it diminishes the major villains that they're not the only one. But YMMV on that. Unfortunately I've also seen very little to advance a rivalry. An event in the past separated the hero and bad guy, but how does that relationship evolve or does it. Joker keeps doing new terrible things as does Doc Doom, but some baddies like Loki, Luthor, Norman, and Mags haven't done anything atypical in a while. The rivalry is stuck in a rut and needs to go somewhere or make way for a new foil for our hero.
Loved the first season and looks like the second will be just as good. Love that FF and Spider-Man is in it but isn't Wolverine and Luke Cage a little too recent for them to join? Maybe just allies in an episode or two...
I'll watch this show just cuz I have fond memories of the 90s series ... until it got complicated the last couple of seasons. Spectacular was ok, but maybe i'm just too old to have appreciated it. still didn't deserve to be cancelled i agree.
