I think the X-Men should be divided into three; red, white, and blue. They are a part of San Franciso and do have a more public image. Dividing the teams amongst X-books would be no problem. The way I see it:
... and here I thought this was about whether or not they bring back the blue and gold uniforms. Though it was attempted a few years ago during Claremont's new age, it went away too quickly again.
Cerebro became sentinent, much like the Danger Room did and these X-Men were all just a manifestation of Cerebro; Danger could manifest holograms, Cerebro did something similar by making these new mutants. After Cerebro was gone, so was this team of X-Men, which is a shame really, I liked Rapture and Crux a lot.

It's the reason why I wouldn't want them writing X-Men, every story they've written on the X-books, someone dies. Too dependent on the shock value of death. As good as the stories they write are, death is relied upon WAY too much.
